Oakland Raiders FS Michael Huff said that he will be converting from free safety to cornerback next season. He played cornerback at the University of Texas and sparingly in Oakland. The Raiders used combinations of CBs Chris X. Johnson, DeMarcus Van Dyke, Chimdi Chekwa and Lito Sheppard this year.

Cook was initially expected to work strictly behind CB Antoine Winfield on the left side, and Minnesota would go with one or a combination of CBs Lito Sheppard, Benny Sapp and Asher Allen on the right side until CB Cedric Griffin (knee) was healthy following a knee injury. However, Cook has impressed, and if he plays well Saturday, he could win the job at right corner over Sheppard, who hasn't had a strong camp. Allen is expected to be the full-time nickel back.
