The Washington Redskins signed fourth-round draft choice S Troy Apke, fifth-round draft choice DT Tim Settle, sixth-round draft choice LB Shaun Dion Hamilton and seventh-round draft choices CB Greg Stroman and WR Trey Quinn to four-year contracts Thursday, May 10. Financial terms were not disclosed.
| Footballguys view: Quinn was this year's 'Mr. Irrelevant' as the final pick in the draft. The 'other' guy at SMU behind Courtland Sutton (Broncos), Quinn reminds some in the scouting community of Adam Humphries. He's buried on the depth chart but has good footwork to get open against zone and concentration through the catch point. In super deep dynasty leagues we'll be monitoring his progress. |

Virginia Tech DT Tim Settle posted a 5.37-second 40-yard dash time at the NFL Scouting Combine on Sunday, March 4, and that was tied for the second-worst time among the defensive linemen and linebackers. He also had a vertical jump of 23.5 inches and a broad jump of just 96 inches. Settle clocked in at 7.95 seconds on the three-cone drill and 4.83 seconds in the 20-yard shuttle.
