The Baltimore Ravens are not expected to re-sign impending free-agent RB Bernard Scott this offseason. The team likely will look to improve their No. 3 running back role in either free agency or the draft.

Bengals | Bernard Scott may start season on PUP list Thu Aug 8, 03:36 PM
Cincinnati Bengals RB Bernard Scott (knee) started training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list and there is a good chance he will remain on the list when the regular season begins. Scott is rehabbing from a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
Footballguys view: Scott has good speed but has lost his role on the Bengals because they selected Giovani Bernard in the 2013 NFL draft. If put on the PUP list Scott would be forced out of action for the first six weeks of the regular season. |

Bengals | Bernard Scott could start camp on PUP list Wed Jul 10, 02:47 PM
Cincinnati Bengals RB Bernard Scott (knee) could start training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list because he is coming back from a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
Footballguys view: The team had a big vision in mind for Scott last year before he got hurt. Now that has changed as they added RB Gio Bernard (North Carolina) in the second-round of the 2013 NFL draft. Bernard is fast, instinctive, and a threat to score every time he touches the ball. He could win the starting job and receive a bulk of the work in the Bengals backfield this season. |

Bengals | Running back chatter Mon May 6, 08:11 AM
Cincinnati Bengals RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis is expected to see the most carries this season. It would also be a surprise if both RBs Bernard Scott and Giovani Bernard made the team.
Footballguys view: If it comes down to one player then the veteran Scott may be the odd man out. Injuries and inconsistencies have held him back during his pro career, preventing him from playing up to his potential. The rookie Bernard is an explosive runner, younger, and could be the better option. |

Bengals | Two RBs might be left to walk Tue Feb 12, 09:04 PM
Impending free-agent RB Bernard Scott (Bengals) is unlikely to return to the Cincinnati Bengals unless his deal is of the one-year variety. Impending free-agent RB Brian Leonard (Bengals) has been solid, but the unrestricted free agent is viewed as more of a niche player. The team is looking to upgrade the position.

Bengals | Bernard Scott placed on IR Mon Oct 8, 12:03 PM
The Cincinnati Bengals announced Monday, Oct. 8, that RB Bernard Scott (knee) has been placed on Injured Reserve. Scott suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 5.
Footballguys view: Scott just hasn't been able to stay healthy and play up to his potential as a pro. Without him in the lineup we could see more from FB Brian Leonard or RB Cedric Peerman. The Bengals could look to street free agents to help fill the hole on their roster. |
