OT Greg Little (ankle) also did not practice all week and is listed as doubtful. S Eric Reid (ankle) did not practice Friday, Nov. 29, and is listed as questionable. OT Taylor Moton (knee) was limited in practice all week and is also listed as questionable. LB/DEs Mario Addison (rest) and Bruce Irvin (rest) did not practice Friday but have been removed from the injury report. DT Gerald McCoy (knee, quad), LB Shaq Thompson (ankle), RB Christian McCaffrey (rest), WR Curtis Samuel (knee), D.J. Moore (ankle, non-injury) and CB Ross Cockrell (quad) practiced in full Friday and also no longer appear on the injury report.

Carolina Panthers RB Jordan Scarlett slipped to the fifth round in the 2019 NFL Draft due to character concerns from his time at the University of Florida. However, beat writer Brendan Marks suggest Scarlett might be the most talented tailback to back up starting RB Christian McCaffrey.
| Footballguys view: Scarlett is a hard-charging back at 5'11" 208 pounds. He's incredibly strong and is not afraid of contact. Scarlett does a good job of making defenders miss in tight quarters and he does have good footwork to help him change direction. He is not a receiving option whatsoever and had some of the worst hands of any running back in this draft class. |

Carolina Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey might see a little more help in the backfield, as head coach Ron Rivera searches for a secondary runner. '(McCaffrey) him touching the ball was no concern,' Rivera said. 'It was just the extra plays. So we have to look at that and find a way to take that load from him.'
| Footballguys view: McCaffrey should touch the ball as much as possible, but a breather from time-to-time would be nice. The team re-signed RBs Cameron Artis-Payne and Elijah Hood, they drafted RB Jordan Scarlett, signed Elijah Holyfield as an undrafted free agent and have RB Reggie Bonnafon in the mix as well. We'll watch this backup running back situation shake out in training camp. |

Carolina Panthers OLB/DE Christian Miller, RB Jordan Scarlett, OG Dennis Daley and WR Terry Godwin signed their four-year rookie contracts Thursday, May 9. Financial terms of the deals were undisclosed. Carolina also officially signed undrafted free-agent S Corrion Ballard, RB Elijah Holyfield, WR Damion Jeanpiere Jr. and LB Jordan Kunaszyk to undisclosed contracts.

Florida RB Jordan Scarlett ran an official 4.47-second 40-yard dash Friday, March 1, at the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine. He posted 21 reps on the 225-pound bench press, a 30-inch vertical jump, and a 116-inch broad jump. He ran a 7.37-second three-cone drill and a 4.63-second short-shuttle. Scarlett measured 5-foot-11 5/8, 208 pounds, with 30 3/8-inch arms and 8 7/8-inch hands.

| Footballguys view: Scarlett measures in at 5'11" 210 pounds and there's a lot to like about his game. He finished the 2018 campaign with 776 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 131 carries. In addition to his skill as a runner (quickness, vision), Scarlett has functional pass-catching ability. He was suspended for the entire 2017 season due to a credit card scam that other Gators players were busted in (like Antonio Callaway) as well. Scarlett should be a late-round pick in the 2019 NFL draft. |
