Updating previous reports, the San Diego Chargers have signed free-agent S Bob Sanders (Colts) to a one-year deal, reports The Sports Network. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Sanders, 30, has played just nine games since 2007, and appeared in just one game last season. Since being selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the second round of the 2004 NFL Draft, Sanders has played in more than six regular-season games only twice in his career. His best season was in 2007, when he posted 132 tackles, 3 1/2 sacks and two interceptions, which led to him being named the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year.
