Giants | Two WRs may need strong preseasons Fri Jul 6, 07:04 PM
New York Giants WRs Roger Lewis and Travis Rudolph may need strong preseasons to make the 53-man roster because they have not excelled at special teams like they were expected.
Footballguys view: With Odell Beckham Jr., Sterling Shephard, Evan Ingram and Saquon Barkley in front of anyone else, battles like this are just not compelling. Neither of these guys will be worth owning in leagues. |

Giants | Week 17 game recap for Giants Sun Dec 31, 04:58 PM
New York Giants QB Eli Manning completed just 10-of-28 pass attempts for 132 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the Week 17 game against the Washington Redskins. RB Orleans Darkwa rolled up a career-high 154 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries, while RB Wayne Gallman added 89 yards on 15 carries. TE Rhett Ellison posted five grabs for 63 yards, while WR Hunter Sharp stepped in with three catches, 29 yards and a touchdown to lead the wide receivers. WR Travis Rudolph also had 29 yards on his lone reception.
Footballguys view: The Giants running game pulled the offense to victory in a consolation win capping one of the most disappointing seasons for the team in a long time. There's still a chance Manning will be back to quarterback the team next year. |

Giants | Week 16 injury report for NYG Fri Dec 22, 05:17 PM
New York Giants LB B.J. Goodson (ankle) and WR Tavarres King (concussion) did not practice Friday, Dec. 22, and they're ruled out for Week 16 against the Arizona Cardinals. S Nat Berhe (hamstring), S Landon Collins (ankle) and DE Jason Pierre-Paul (finger) were limited and are listed as questionable, while CB Brandon Dixon (heel, hamstring), TE Rhett Ellison (groin, finger), OT Ereck Flowers (groin), C Brett Jones (ankle), WR Travis Rudolph (hamstring), S Darian Thompson (knee) and DE Olivier Vernon (not injury related) were removed from the report.
Footballguys view: King being out means that while there are more targets for Roger Lewis and Sterling Shepard, there's also more chance that they'll be covered by Patrick Peterson on any given play. Shepard lines up in the slot, so he's the best Giants wide receiver play this week. |

Giants | Travis Rudolph signed to active roster Mon Oct 9, 09:27 AM
New York Giants WR Travis Rudolph was signed to the 53-man roster from the practice squad Monday, Oct. 9.
Footballguys view: The Giants lost four WRs to injury in the game against the Chargers. Two of those players (Dwayne Harris, Odell Beckham Jr.) are done for the year. The other two (Brandon Marshall, Sterling Shepard) are considered day-to-day but could miss some time. Avoid this Giants WR corps as the team continues to struggle. As bad as it is, things are likely to get worse against the Broncos in Week 6. |

Giants | Three Giants WRs may compete for one spot Sun Jul 2, 04:28 PM
New York Giants WRs Travis Rudolph, Roger Lewis and Darius Powe likely will be competing for one roster spot during training camp if the Giants decide to keep six receivers on the 53-man roster.
Footballguys view: Lewis only had seven catches for 97 yards last year but two of them went for touchdowns. Rudolph was undrafted out of Florida State this year and could be the one to watch here. He's a refined route-runner and quickly plucks the ball out of the air with strong hands. Powe is larger (6'3") than the other two, he's smart and he's fast. In college at Cal, Powe was a favorite target of Jared Goff and a known touchdown hog. |
