The Chicago Bears worked out free-agent QB Mike Kafka (Eagles) Friday, Oct. 25. He worked out for the team with fellow free-agent LBs Larry Grant (49ers), Brian Rolle (Steelers) and Julian Stanford (Jaguars), as well as WRs Kamar Aiken (Patriots), Danny Coale (Cowboys), Roy Roundtree (Bengals) and Terrence Toliver (Chargers). LB Keenan Clayton (Raiders) also worked out.

Pittsburgh Steelers TE Heath Miller (knee) was activated off the Physically Unable to Perform list. S Ross Ventrone, LB Brian Rolle and P Brian Moorman were cut.
| Footballguys view: Miller is available to play week one but his status for the opener is unclear at this time. We'd be surprised if he is ready at that time, and may miss the month of September. On the PUP Miller would have to miss the first six weeks of the regular season. We like him as a solid TE2 when he returns to the field. |

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid said all six of the linebackers will see playing time Week 1 with different linebackers seeing time in certain packages. LBs DeMeco Ryans, Mychal Kendricks and Akeem Jordan will start the game with LBs Jamar Chaney, Brian Rolle and Casey Matthews coming off the bench.

The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to terms with rookies DB Jaiquawn Jarrett, DB Curtis Marsh, LB Casey Matthews, PK Alex Henery, OL Julian Vandervelde, OL Jason Kelce and LB Brian Rolle. Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
