Free-agent FS Antrel Rolle (Bears) said he has heard from a few teams this offseason, but he is waiting for the right situation before signing.

| Footballguys view: Jones isn't set to be a free agent until 2018, and he's got a cap number of $7.2 million this season. Reports indicate Jones is seeking a new deal that would pay him around $10 million a year. Good luck with that. Delmas and Rolle haven't received a ton of interest on the open market, but either one would work. The Dolphins chose not to re-sign Delmas this offseason as he tore his ACL last August and missed the entire 2015 season. |

New York Giants safeties coach Dave Merritt said he believes FS Antrel Rolle is getting better because he is starting to understand the position. 'Antrel is just now starting to understand and develop as a safety,' Giants safeties coach Dave Merritt said Thursday. 'He was a corner, as we all know, when he was drafted out of Miami. Now all of a sudden he's a safety, and he's starting to understand the position more so than ever. Before, as far as formations, he didn't see formations. He didn't really see the route concepts. Now, the last two years, it's all coming together for him and he's feeling more comfortable. So with Antrel's ability to continue to learn and grow, he hasn't really scratched his ability as a safety yet. Last year was a glimpse of what Antrel could actually become.'

New York Giants FS Antrel Rolle said he has talked with Green Bay Packers impending free-agent TE Jermichael Finley about possibility signing with the Giants this offseason. 'He's an extreme talent, he's an exceptional guy,' Rolle said. 'More importantly, he's a fiery guy, and that's something we can use on the offensive side of the ball, a guy with some intensity ... He's a guy I would love to be a teammate with, and I think we could do some great things together.'
