Buccaneers | Four players cut    Mon Feb 10, 04:31 PM

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have released QB Jordan Rodgers, RB Michael Hill, OG Gabe Carimi and DT Derek Landri.

Footballguys view: Releasing Rodgers is a bit of a surprise given new OC Jeff Tedford coached Jordan's older brother (some guy named Aaron Rodgers) in college at Cal. This is not a good sign for his pro prospects. Hill has now been released by three teams in one year, and he may just be too slow to make an impact at the pro level.

Footballguys view: The player to watch in super deep dynasty leagues here is Streeter. He has a good size/speed combination, and Streeter can absolutely fly down the field. We'll see if he can develop his skill set at the pro level.

Jaguars | Jordan Rodgers waived    Mon Jul 22, 02:57 PM

The Jacksonville Jaguars have waived QB Jordan Rodgers.

Footballguys view: Rodgers is the younger brother of Packers superstar QB Aaron Rodgers. He might catch on as a camp arm somewhere else. The Jaguars have 2013 UDFA Matt Scott as a reserve QB. Scott is incredibly athletic with a rocket arm. However, he struggles mightily with accuracy and needs a lot of work before he ever sees the field in the NFL. Scott is competing with Mike Kafka to be the team's QB3 behind Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne.

Footballguys view: Scott is an interesting prospect to keep an eye on in super deep dynasty leagues. He's incredibly athletic and has a strong arm but struggles with accuracy and decision making. Rodgers is the younger brother of Packers superstar QB Aaron Rodgers. He's a backup caliber player who has little upside as a starter.

Jaguars | GM fine with taking five QBs to camp    Sat Jun 15, 12:44 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell said he has no problem with taking five quarterbacks at training camp. QBs Blaine Gabbert, Chad Henne, Mike Kafka, Jordan Rodgers and Matt Scott are currently on the roster.

Footballguys view: The Jaguars have a poor collection of QBs and more competition is nothing but a good thing. Gabbert and Henne are the most likely to start this season. Scott is an interesting UDFA to consider in super deep dynasty leagues. He's incredibly athletic and has a strong arm. However, he struggles with decision making and his accuracy leaves a lot to be desired.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Matt Scott is expected to have the edge over QB Jordan Rodgers (hernia) for the No. 3 quarterback job entering training camp because Rodgers will miss the remaining offseason workouts after undergoing sports hernia surgery.

Footballguys view: No surprise here. Scott also has an advantage because he's a much better athlete. He could be a nice option QB but struggles with accuracy as a passer.

Footballguys view: Rodgers, the younger brother of Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, is trying to make the team as a developmental QB behind Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne. This injury will cause him to lose reps to fellow undrafted free agent QB Matt Scott (Arizona).

Vanderbilt QB Jordan Rodgers has received calls from many teams, including the Miami Dolphins, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants and St. Louis Rams. Rodgers also had a private workout with the Tennessee Titans.

Jets | Former QB instructs two QBs    Sun Apr 21, 08:00 PM

Former New York Jets QB Ken O'Brien served as a private instructor to North Carolina State QB Mike Glennon. 'He's a big, tall kid. Really nice arm. He spins (it) really well,' O'Brien said of Glennon. 'What really jumps out is that he's a student of the game, a nerd, a gym rat. He's always trying to learn, he's always asking me questions.' The Jets spent time with Glennon at the Senior Bowl. O'Brien also tutored Vanderbilt QB Jordan Rodgers, the younger brother of Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers.

Footballguys view: Glennon could be a late first- or early second-round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. Rodgers is likely to be a priority free agent.

Titans | Meeting with three Vanderbilt players    Mon Mar 25, 02:09 PM

The Tennessee Titans were scheduled to meet with Vanderbilt QB Jordan Rodgers, RB Zac Stacy and DL Rob Lohr Monday, March 25.

Footballguys view: Rodgers is the younger brother of Packers QB Aaron Rodgers. He's a tough leader who could be a nice backup QB in the pros. Stacy is your classic banger between the tackles. He's all about yards after contact but can also be a reliable receiver out of the backfield. Most consider him a quality late round pick.
