Jets | Adrien Robinson waived Mon May 9, 12:57 PM
New York Jets TE Adrien Robinson was waived Monday, May 9.
Footballguys view: Super deep dynasty owners are pouring out a 40 oz. over this news. Robinson is another one in a long line of super-athletic TEs who don't develop at the pro level. After bouncing around from the Giants to the Jets, Robinson may find it difficult to latch on with another team. |

Jets | Sign Adrien Robinson Mon Jan 11, 04:42 PM
Free-agent TE Adrien Robinson (Giants) was signed to a Reserve/Futures contract by the New York Jets Monday, Jan. 11.
Footballguys view: Robinson is a player to monitor in super-deep dynasty leagues. He's supremely athletic but has yet to put his game together as a football player. |

Giants | May use committee at TE Mon Aug 25, 05:21 PM
The New York Giants may use a committee approach with their tight ends this season based on different situations, according to head coach Tom Coughlin. 'I really think that there'll be a group of guys that'll play that'll help us in different situations and will be matched up according to the circumstance,' Coughlin said. 'I think that's where it's going to go. I think there's a lot of roles for that spot.' TEs Larry Donnell, Adrien Robinson, Daniel Fells and Kellen Davis are expected to make the final roster, but no starter has been named.
Footballguys view: The team lacks talent at the tight end position. Fantasy owners were already avoiding this situation...a TEBC means they'll stay away. |

Giants | Larry Donnell receives start Sun Aug 3, 11:37 PM
New York Giants TE Larry Donnell was the starting tight end for the Hall of Fame Game. He was followed by TE Daniel Fells and TE Adrien Robinson.
Footballguys view: We're excited about the Ben McAdoo offense this year. However, there's no tight ends on the roster worth consideration for fantasy owners. |

Giants | Daniel Fells may have the edge Thu Jul 24, 09:34 AM
New York Giants TE Daniel Fells has received the first snap in 11-on-11 drills during the team's two days in training camp.
Footballguys view: The Giants tight end situation is a mess, with no proven pass catchers in the bunch. This means more three-wide sets, which could make #12 overall pick Odell Beckham or 2013 late-season star Jerrel Jernigan candidates to see the field a lot this year. "JPP of tight ends" Adrien Robinson is the only name worth watching in this position battle, but the chances that this situation produces a fantasy relevant TE are very low. |

Giants | Three get first-team reps at tight end Wed Jul 23, 05:15 PM
New York Giants TE Kellen Davis, TE Adrien Robinson and TE Daniel Fells all received first-team reps in practice Wednesday, July 23. All three rotated into the backfield and played some fullback.
Footballguys view: No, no and no. Just say no when it comes to drafting a Giants tight end. Even in super deep dynasty leagues, we're no longer that thrilled by the likes of Robinson. |

Giants | Jermichael Finley still a possibility Tue Jul 15, 08:41 PM
Free-agent TE Jermichael Finley (Packers) is still a possible option for the New York Giants, according Ebenezer Samuel of the New York Daily News. Samuel said the team could consider Finely if TE Adrien Robinson and TE Larry Donnell fail to impress during the preseason.
Footballguys view: Finley is trying to prove he's healthy after a potentially career-ending neck injury he suffered last year. We could see him have to wait until after Week 1 to be signed by any team. After that time, veterans added to not have a guaranteed salary for the year. |

Giants | Adrien Robinson projected at starter Thu Jul 3, 01:04 PM
New York Giants TE Adrien Robinson is projected to be the starter, in the opinion of Dan Graziano of ESPN New York. Graziano speculates that Robinson appears to be the leading candidate at this point.
Footballguys view: Of course the real question is whether he will become fantasy relevant like Martellus Bennet was or a whole lot of nothing like last year's model. We're optimistic but not *that* optimistic and would only have him as bench depth as a TE3. He has speed and size but will need to show he can do anything with it before we get more excited. |

Giants | Could use committee at TE Mon Jun 23, 02:06 PM
New York Giants general manager Jerry Reese said he believes the team likely will use several players at tight end this upcoming season since there is no clear candidate for the starting job. Reese indicated he believes TEs Adrien Robinson and Larry Donnell can be dynamic offense players in 2014.
Footballguys view: As Officer Barbrady says "Nothing to see here people!" Fantasy owners have dozens of options before they get to any of these players. Dynasty owners in deep leagues still have to monitor Robinson because of his athleticism, but he's failed to impress during his limited pro career. |

Giants | Adrien Robinson impressing Thu Jun 5, 03:44 PM
New York Giants TE Adrien Robinson, who had zero catches in three games last year, is impressing the team during organized team activities. "I think he's done a really good job in terms of just learning," head coach Tom Coughlin said. "Again, not many mental errors. I've been really impressed with that."
Footballguys view: The Giants are always looking for a bargain at tight end. Sometimes it works (Martellus Bennett) and sometimes it doesn't (Brandon Myers). We'll need to see more before we tell you to draft Robinson even as bench depth. |

Giants | TEs will be expected to do a little bit of everything Fri May 30, 05:46 PM
If New York Giants' practice Thursday, May 29, was any indication of how the team will utilize their tight ends, expect them to line up in multiple spots on the field and be asked to do a little bit of everything. TE Adrien Robinson was on the line of scrimmage one play, the next TE Larry Donnell was lined up as a wide receiver, and on the next play TE Xavier Grimble was in the backfield as an H-back.
Footballguys view: Robinson is likely the starting tight end this year. The team hasn't had a good tight end that was fantasy relevant since Martellus Bennett moved on to the Bears in free agency. |

Giants | All TEs expected to get time with starters Wed May 28, 02:45 PM
New York Giants TEs Kellen Davis, Larry Donnell, Daniel Fells and Xavier Grimble are all expected to receive time with the first-team offense during offseason workouts and training camp. TE Adrien Robinson is believed to be the leading candidate for the starting tight end job at this point.
Footballguys view: The Giants have to find a tight end for Eli Manning. The team hasn't been the same at the position since Martellus Bennett moved on in free agency. We love the athletic upside of Robinson, but the raw tight end needs to prove he's developed as a route-runner and blocker in order to win the starting job. |

Giants | Adrien Robinson ready for opportunity Wed May 21, 03:36 PM
New York Giants TE Adrien Robinson is ready to make an impact for the team in 2014, and is excited about the idea of having a clean slate with a new offensive coordinator. "It's my third year, my weight's down, we've got a new OC (offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo), new tight ends coach. Everything is fresh; it's like a clean slate. I'm just ready to go."
Footballguys view: Robinson has rare athleticism and speed for a man his size, but he has been sidelined for most of his career. The player once called "the Jason Pierre-Paul of tight ends" by general manager Jerry Reese will have one more shot to make his mark this year, because the Giants did nothing in free agency or the draft to upgrade the position. |

Giants | Adrien Robinson could be top choice at TE Thu May 15, 08:24 PM
New York Giants TE Adrien Robinson appears to be the leading candidate for the starting tight end job at this point.
Footballguys view: The 2012 fourth-round pick was called the Jason Pierre-Paul of tight ends when he came out of college because of his size, speed and athleticism. He has struggled with various injuries during his pro career (knee, foot), but Robinson is now ready and poised for a breakout year. We'll see a tight end friendly offense under new OC Ben McAdoo. |

Giants | Adrien Robinson fully cleared Tue Feb 11, 02:03 PM
New York Giants TE Adrien Robinson (knee) was fully cleared from a knee sprain suffered during the 2012 season. Robinson will start training in March and knows 2014 has to be his breakout season.
Footballguys view: Robinson is an interesting name for fantasy owners in deep dynasty leagues to keep tabs on. He's incredibly athletic, but Robinson needs to stay healthy and start developing on his raw potential. |
