Redskins | Jordan Reed placed on IR    Sat Oct 12, 01:37 PM

Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (concussion) on Saturday, Oct. 12, was placed on the Reserve/Injured list with a concussion. In a corresponding move, S Jeremy Reaves was activated from the practice squad.

Footballguys view: Reed has a chance to return later in the year but there may not be much of a reason to with the team in a massive rebuilding mode. With Vernon Davis (concussion) banged up and missing the game against the Dolphins in Week 6, Washington turns to Jeremy Sprinkle at the tight end position.

CB Josh Norman (knee) returned to a full practice Friday and is also listed as questionable. DLs Matt Ioannidis (foot) and Da'Ron Payne (knee) fully participated in practice Friday and have been removed from the injury report.

The Washington Redskins have declared CB Aaron Colvin, QB Colt McCoy, WR Terry McLaurin, OG Brandon Scherff, TE Jordan Reed, LB Cassanova McKinzy and C Chase Roullier inactive for Week 4.

Footballguys view: Robert Davis, Kelvin Harmon, and Steven Sims will get more play with McLaurin out and we shouldn't consider him a sure thing for next week's game vs. New England. Scherff and Rouiller being out means Washington only has 2 of their projected starters on the offensive line healthy for this game.

Redskins | Week 4 injury report for Washington    Fri Sep 27, 03:16 PM

Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (concussion) was not participating in practice Friday, Sept. 20, as he remains out to deal with a concussion.

Footballguys view: It's possible Reed doesn't play again if we're being honest about the nature of his situation. He should be dropped across formats as the possible reward isn't worth an indefinite wait. Vernon Davis is a desperation play at tight end for as long as Reed is out.

Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (concussion) participated in some individual drills during practice Wednesday, Sept. 4, but still has not been cleared from the concussion protocol.

Redskins | Jordan Reed update    Wed Sep 4, 12:53 PM

Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (concussion) could do some work in practice Wednesday, Sept. 4, but he's not fully cleared from the concussion protocol.

Footballguys view: It's a step in the right direction if he can do some work in practice. However, Reed still could be a long way from seeing the field. We think Vernon Davis is going to be the lead tight end for Washington in Week 1.

Redskins | Jordan Reed in concussion protocol    Fri Aug 23, 01:09 PM

Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (concussion) is in the league's concussion protocol after sustaining the injury in a preseason game Thursday, Aug. 22.

Footballguys view: Reed has a long concussion history so this is terrible news. The team has Jeremy Sprinkle and Vernon Davis, but this should take him off of our late round tight end target list and could increase the target share for Trey Quinn.

Redskins | Jordan Reed needs to stay healthy    Tue Jul 9, 02:51 AM

Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed was clearly not healthy in 2018, playing in 13 games while playing through multiple injuries. When he is 100 percent, he might be the most dynamic receiver on the roster.

Footballguys view: Everyone knows that Reed is incredibly talented as a receiver...and everyone already knows that he has an injury history that reads like Infinite Jest. Reed is a boom/bust player for Washington who provides plenty of upside...along with plenty of risk...as a low-end TE2 in fantasy leagues.

Redskins | Jordan Reed misses workouts    Tue Jun 4, 12:49 PM

Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (toe) did not participate in the team's minicamp practice Tuesday, June 4, and was spotted in the injury-rehab area.

Footballguys view: It would be news if Reed was healthy and fully participating. Reed has talent but he is oft-injured and difficult to trust as anything more than a TE2 for Fantasy GMs. He has a current ADP of TE19 (14.04) in 12-team PPR leagues.
