Redskins | Two Redskins WRs may not play Thursday    Wed Aug 21, 06:00 PM

Washington Redskins WR Trey Quinn (thumb) will not play in the preseason game Thursday, Aug. 22, while WR Paul Richardson (quadriceps) probably will also miss the game.

Footballguys view: Terry McLaurin is the one Washington receiver with no injuries and momentum going into the third preseason game, which is a bad sign for their offense.

Redskins | Trey Quinn may miss preseason game    Sun Aug 11, 05:18 PM

Washington Redskins WR Trey Quinn (thumb) suffered a thumb injury during pregame warmups Thursday, Aug. 8, and may not be able to play in the preseason game Thursday Aug. 15.

Footballguys view: Quinn is set up for a big role in the Washington passing game. This shouldn't put his Week 1 in doubt, but we'll be tracking it and hoping to see him on the field for the third preseason game.

Redskins | Trey Quinn making impression    Sun Jul 28, 01:31 PM

Washington Redskins WR Trey Quinn has impressed the coaching staff this offseason, and coach Jay Gruden said Sunday, July 28, that Quinn has 'got the inside spot (the slot starting role) pretty much locked down.'

Footballguys view: Quinn has a chance to lead the team in targets and receptions because the passing game may have to focus on the short game if Trent Williams doesn't play for them this year. He's a good late round PPR pick.

Redskins | Trey Quinn's star about to ascend?    Tue Jun 25, 03:16 PM

Washington Redskins WR Trey Quinn landed on the Reserve/Injured list twice in his rookie season, which limited him to only three games last year. Nevertheless, receivers coach Ike Hilliard is one of a growing list of people who considers Quinn to be a breakout candidate for the 2019 season.

Footballguys view: Quinn is going to be a sneaky PPR pick late and he could easily be the #1 target on this team with the instability at outside receiver and tight end.

Redskins | Trey Quinn to start in slot    Fri Jun 21, 02:51 AM

Washington Redskins WR Trey Quinn has 'taken over the inside slot role,' according to head coach Jay Gruden.

Footballguys view: Quinn could (should?) lead this team in targets and receptions if he stays healthy. That's worth a look in best ball and redraft PPR leagues late in your draft.

Redskins | Trey Quinn injured    Fri Jun 7, 06:18 PM

Washington Redskins WR Trey Quinn (hamstring) did not participate in practice Thursday, June 6, because of a hamstring injury, but head coach Jay Gruden said Quinn should be fine.

Footballguys view: Quinn is in line to be a top target as the starting slot receiver for Washington this year. Hopefully this will be a short-term issue. If it lingers into camp and the preseason, he won't be nearly as good of a PPR late-round flyer.

Redskins | Trey Quinn receives praise    Fri Mar 29, 09:24 PM

Washington Redskins WR Trey Quinn is expected to replace WR Jamison Crowder in the slot, according to head coach Jay Gruden. 'But I'm ready to watch Trey Quinn jump in that slot role and dominate the position,' Gruden said. 'I'm excited for him.'

Footballguys view: Quinn should take a big leap forward in 2019. The final pick of the 2018 NFL draft, Quinn reminded some in the scouting community of Adam Humphries. He is a fine route runner with the quickness to get open consistently. Washington has Case Keenum now at quarterback and he likes to throw short-to-intermediate passes. That means Quinn is a player to monitor in PPR leagues this season.

Redskins | Trey Quinn could start in slot    Fri Mar 15, 10:50 PM

Washington Redskins WR Trey Quinn could serve as the starting slot receiver next year, according to head coach Jay Gruden. 'We feel great about Trey Quinn's progress last year, even though he got hurt a little bit,' Gruden said.

Footballguys view: Quinn, a seventh-round pick out of SMU in the 2018 NFL draft, is a fine route runner with the quickness to get open consistently. He appeared in three games (limited by ankle injuries) as a rookie, catching nine passes for 75 yards and one touchdown. Washington has Case Keenum now at quarterback and he likes to throw short-to-intermediate passes. That means Quinn is a player to monitor in PPR leagues this season.
