Vikings | Minnesota adds more UDFAs Mon Apr 30, 12:47 PM
Undrafted free-agent Armanti Foreman (Texas), FB Kamryn Pettway (Auburn), QB Peter Pujals (Holy Cross), RB Roc Thomas (Jacksonville State) and WR Jake Wieneke (South Dakota State) signed with the Minnesota Vikings Monday, April 30. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.
Footballguys view: Thomas is perhaps the most interesting of this bunch. He's got some Eli McGuire (Jets) to his game as Thomas is a speedy back who has the quickness to make defenders miss. Thomas could move up the depth chart as a Jerick McKinnon-like back behind starter Dalvin Cook. |

NFL | Drill results for Kamryn Pettway Fri Mar 2, 05:57 PM
Auburn RB Kamryn Pettway recorded a 40-yard dash time of 4.74 seconds at the NFL Scouting Combine on Friday, March 2, while hoisting 225 pounds for 22 reps in the bench press. He also had a vertical jump distance of 33.5 inches and a broad jump of 116.0 inches.
Footballguys view: Pettway is a big-bodied fullback who reminds some in the scouting community of former FSU and Texans FB Greg Jones. Like Jones, Pettway has the size to run through contact with ease. Pettway is not overly swift and does not have plus agility, even though he does have more wiggle than most backs his size. |

NFL | Kamryn Pettway declares for draft Wed Jan 3, 04:57 PM
Auburn RB Kamryn Pettway declared for the 2018 NFL draft Wednesday, Jan. 3.
Footballguys view: Pettway joins fellow Auburn RB Kerryon Johnson in leaving early for the NFL draft. He began his career at Auburn as a fullback and had an injury/suspension shortened 2017 season where he ran for 305 yards and six touchdowns. Pettway is 6'0" 240 pounds and there's not a lot of nuance to his game. He's a power back who runs with great balance and is tough to bring down when he builds a head of steam. He's likely to be a late-round pick or priority free agent. |
