Miami Dolphins QB Brandon Doughty, TE Thomas Duarte, QB David Fales, WR Trey Griffey, RB Storm Johnson, WR Malcolm Lewis, WR Mitch Mathews, TE Chris Pantale, RB De'Veon Smith and WR Damore'ea Stringfellow were released Saturday, Sept. 2.

Footballguys view: The Dolphins are going to go with Matt Moore as the primary backup to Jay Cutler. Doughty should have practice squad eligibility and Fales was just a camp arm.

Dolphins | Four players sign with Dolphins    Tue Jan 10, 07:33 PM

The Miami Dolphins re-signed RB Storm Johnson and QB Brandon Doughty and signed free-agents RB Senorise Perry (Bears) and TE Chris Pantale (Eagles) to Reserve/Future contracts Tuesday, Jan. 10.

Footballguys view: A seventh-round pick this year for the Dolphins, Doughty is an interesting developmental quarterback. He's smart and accurate when given time to throw. Doughty doesn't have a plus-arm, but he throws with great anticipation and understands complex defenses.

Jets | Chris Pantale re-signs    Mon Dec 1, 12:45 PM

The New York Jets re-signed TE Chris Pantale to the practice squad Monday, Dec. 1, and released LB Antwan Barnes in a corresponding move.

Footballguys view: Pantale is an interesting player to monitor in super super deep dynasty leagues. He's a consistent receiver with decent run-after-the-catch ability.

Jets | Sign seven to practice squad    Sun Aug 31, 07:18 PM

The New York Jets signed free-agents DT Tevita Finau, DL Kerry Hyder, SS Rontez Miles, TE Chris Pantale, OT Brent Qvale, RB Daryl Richardson and QB Matt Simms to the team's practice squad Sunday, Aug. 31. All seven players spent training camp with the team.

Footballguys view: Pantele and Richardson are players worth monitoring in super deep dynasty leagues. Richardson has the speed to break off big plays regularly, and he's tough to line up in the open field. Pantale has good hands and can work underneath routes.

Jets | Two players let go    Sat Aug 30, 12:48 PM

Jets | Three TEs to compete for one or two spots    Thu Jul 3, 05:44 PM

New York Jets TEs Zach Sudfeld, Chris Pantale and Colin Anderson will compete for one or two roster spots during training camp. It is not known if the team will keep three or four tight ends on their final roster.

Footballguys view: Sudfeld was a hot deal with the Patriots in training camp, but couldn't stick. He's got soft hands, decent speed and great size but isn't much of a blocker. Pantale was on the practice squad most of last season and didn't impress when he was moved up. Anderson is on a futures/reserve contract and is a pretty average small-school product. We think Sudfeld is the guy here, though he won't have any fantasy value unless there are injuries.

Jets | Jace Amaro struggling    Wed Jun 25, 12:16 PM

New York Jets rookie TE Jace Amaro is struggling in his initial workouts. The no-huddle, spread system at Texas Tech is significantly different from the Jets' deeper pro-style playbook. He looked lost in three-wide packages and needs to polish his routes, in-line position, footwork and releases.

Footballguys view: Amaro is making a transition, but the team should still find a specialized use for him on passing downs with less on his plate even if he has trouble adjusting to the pro game in his rookie year. He has great promise in dynasty leagues, but don't look for a big impact from Amaro in fantasy leagues this year.

The New York Jets have declared OG Ben Ijalana, TE Chris Pantale, QB David Garrard, LB Jermaine Cunningham, OT Oday Aboushi, WR Stephen Hill, OG William Campbell inactive for Week 14.

Footballguys view: Hill was rumored to be benched, but played last week. Now he is a healthy scratch and out of the plans of this regime, although the Jets may have a new set of coaches to try to salvage the 2012 second-round pick's Jets career next year.

Jets | Chris Pantale to active roster    Wed Nov 27, 09:34 AM

The New York Jets signed TE Chris Pantale to the active roster.

Footballguys view: Pantale is an interesting prospect to watch in super deep dynasty leagues. He was a standout player at the Shrine Game earlier this year alongside guys like Josh Hill (Saints) and Joseph Fauria (Lions).

Jets | Chris Pantale could be added to roster    Sat Nov 2, 12:39 PM

New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan said the team could sign practice squad TE Chris Pantale to the active roster if they need another tight end for their Week 9 game.

Footballguys view: We like Pantale is super deep dynasty leagues. He impressed our very own Cecil Lammey during the week of the Shrine Game earlier this year. Pantale and Joseph Fauria (Lions) were standout players that week. Monitor him in super deep dynasty leagues, but he has zero value in re-draft leagues.

The New York Jets re-signed WR Mike Campbell, LB Troy Davis, DT Tevita Finau, S Rontez Miles, TE Chris Pantale and OT J.B. Shugarts to the practice squad.

Footballguys view: Pantale is an athletic TE to monitor in super deep dynasty leagues. He was at the Shrine Game earlier this year and was flashing his ability alongside fantasy darling UDFA Zach Sudfeld (Patriots).

Jets | 15 UDFAs signed     Mon Apr 29, 03:26 PM

The New York Jets have signed free-agent LB Troy Davis (Central Florida), DB Mike Edwards (Hawaii), C Dalton Freeman (Clemson), OL Trey Gilleo (Northern Arizona), DL Roosevelt Holliday (Eastern Illinois), DL Jake McDonough (Iowa State), S Rontez Miles (California, PA), DE Spencer Nealy (Texas A&M), TE Chris Pantale (Boston College), OL Mark Popek (South Florida), WR Zach Rogers (Tennessee), TE Mike A. Shanahan (Pittsburgh), WR Ryan Spadola (Lehigh), WR K.J. Stroud (Bethune-Cookman) and WR Antavious Wilson (Marshall). Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.

Footballguys view: Fantasy owners in super deep dynasty owners should keep an eye on Pantale, Rogers, and Spadola here. Pantale impressed our very own Cecil Lammey at the Shrine Game earlier this year showing good hands and route running ability. Rogers was the fourth best WR at Tennessee but has straight line speed and will fight for contested passes. Spadola has long arms, good hands, and will consistently pluck the ball out of the air away from his body.
