Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton and OG Trai Turner (ankle) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 4 against the Houston Texans. DT Kawann Short (shoulder) did not participate for a third straight day, while CB Donte Jackson (groin) was unable to practice for a second straight day Friday, Sept. 27; both players are listed as questionable. Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (back) told reporters Tuesday, Sept. 10, that he 'plans' to play in Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after getting 'jacked up' in the season opener versus the Los Angeles Rams.

Footballguys view: No worries here. The Panthers have given Olsen a bit of a break on a short week but he was good to go in the opener and showed no setbacks. Olsen can produce like a low-end TE1 for Fantasy GMs in Week 2 against the Buccaneers.

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (back) is out of practice Tuesday, Sept. 10.

Panthers | Greg Olsen feeling healthy    Thu Sep 5, 01:50 PM

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen said Thursday, Sept. 5, that he feels good and healthy and feels he is running well.

Panthers | Greg Olsen will not be limited    Wed Jul 24, 07:43 PM

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (foot) said he will not be limited during training camp.

Footballguys view: Olsen could end up being Cam Newton's favorite target and return top 5-6 tight end scoring at a deep discount. He's a great target if you are waiting to take a tight end until most other teams have their starter.

Panthers | Greg Olsen locked in    Thu Jun 27, 09:56 PM

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen set personal records in the weight room during the offseason strength program, and he made 'difficult catches look routine' during spring practices, according to Max Henson of Panthers.com.

Footballguys view: Olsen has always been on the same page with Cam Newton and he's by far the longest tenured pass catcher in the offense. If you decide to take an aging tight end who might not last the season as your TE1, Olsen is the one to target.

Panthers | Greg Olsen fully cleared    Wed May 22, 12:48 PM

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (foot) said he has been fully cleared Wednesday, May 22.

Footballguys view: When healthy, Olsen is still their top tight end and a low-end TE1 for Fantasy GMs. Olsen battled through foot injuries last year and only made it through nine games. He hasn't played a full 16-game season since 2016, and we'll see if he can get back to doing that during his age 34 season.

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen has received offers from ESPN and Fox to serve as an analyst, according to the New York Post's Andrew Marchand. Two sources have reportedly spoken to Olsen and believe he favors playing, however, 'unless the TV offers come close to the money and/or there is a clear path to even more opportunities.'

Footballguys view: We know that Olsen is close to the end of his playing career. The Panthers know that too, and that's one of the reasons why they selected Ian Thomas in the 2018 NFL draft.

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (foot) intends to keep playing despite dealing with a nagging foot issue that resulted in two surgeries last season.

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (foot) underwent surgery on his foot in the last week and is expected to make a full recovery, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.

Footballguys view: Good news for the Panthers and the veteran tight end here. Olsen is under contract through the 2020 season and has a cap hit of $7.1 million. So long as he's healthy, Olsen could still be a TE1 for Fantasy GMs in 2019.

Panthers | Greg Olsen suffers foot injury    Sun Dec 2, 01:51 PM

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (foot) suffered a foot injury during the Week 13 game and will not return.
