| Footballguys view: Okam had a tremendous sophomore season at Texas, but did not follow that up with strong campaigns in 2006 & 2007. The Texans selected him in the 5th round of the 2008 NFL Draft with hopes that he would become a more consistent player. Okam has rare size, strength, and athleticism but was never known to have a consistent motor and hustle on every play. Perhaps with the lower playing weight he could have the stamina to stay strong throughout the game - especially since the Texans are most likely going to rotate him in and out of the lineup. |
