49ers | More coaching additions for 49ers Tue Feb 21, 05:39 PM
Former Denver Broncos assistant offensive line coach John Benton, former New Orleans Saints assistant coach Stan Kwan, former undrafted free-agent DT Vince Oghobaase (Duke) and former Houston Texans OT Adam Stenavich were added to the San Francisco 49ers' coaching staff Tuesday, Feb. 21. Assistant coach Michael Clay will serve as strength and conditioning coach. Benton, Kwan, Oghobaase and Stenavich will serve as offensive line coach, assistant special teams coach, assistant defensive line coach and assistant offensive line coach, respectively.

Duke DT Vince Oghobaase was asked during the NFL Scouting Combine if he has a preference for a 3-4 defensive scheme or a 4-3 defensive scheme. Oghobaase said, "I think I can fit into any scheme. It's basically what team drafts me and what they want me to do. I'm willing to do anything. I played 3-4 before in college and I played the 4-3 three-technique in college as well. I'm familiar with both."

Duke DT Vince Oghobaase said during the NFL Scouting Combine that his knee is back to 100 percent. Oghobaase added, "I had a minor setback this season with an MCL sprain. Nothing major. There's nothing to really dwell on about that."

NFLCombine.net reports Duke QB Thaddeus Lewis and DT Vince Oghobaase have been invited to participate in the 2010 NFL Scouting Combine Feb. 24 to March 2.
Footballguys view: Lewis has really struggled in El Paso at the Texas vs The Nation game. He currently carries a priority free agent draft grade, and may have a hard time catching on with any team after the draft. |
