| Footballguys view: Odighizuwa is more of a linear power rusher than a bendy speed rusher, so this makes sense. Jason Pierre-Paul should be back to full speed and much more accustomed to using his fireworks-marred hand, and Olivier Vernon will give him the best running mate at defensive end that he has had in a while. The Giants pass rush is getting closer to the glory days of their Super Bowl seasons. |

New York Giants LB Jon Beason (knee) has been ruled out for Week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys. LB Jonathan Casillas (neck), DT Cullen Jenkins (hamstring) and DE Owamagbe Odighizuwa (foot) are listed as probable. Beason did not practice Friday, Sept. 11. Odighizuwa was limited, while Casillas and Jenkins practiced in full.
| Footballguys view: The Giants defense is very weak up the middle. We aren't sure which Cowboys back will get the majority of the work (or if any will), but all of them will face a vulnerable defense. |

New York Giants LB Jon Beason (knee) and DE Owamagbe Odighizuwa (foot) did not practice Thursday, Sept. 10. LB Jonathan Casillas (neck) and DT Cullen Jenkins (hamstring) were full participants.
| Footballguys view: They need Beason, so we'll watch this Friday. This defense is in real trouble anyway for Sunday and Dallas should have its way with them. We'd avoid starting the defense while starting Tony Romo, Jason Witten, Dez Bryant and Terrance Williams for the Cowboys. |
