Vikings | Kene Nwangwu working with starters Mon Jun 19, 04:17 PM
Minnesota Vikings RB Kene Nwangwu has lined up alongside QB Kirk Cousins in 11-on-11 snaps during OTAs, and Alec Lewis of The Athletic believes Nwangwu has a chance to earn the backup running back job.
Footballguys view: The Vikings have quite a bit of talent in the backfield, even after letting Dalvin Cook go. Most expect Alexander Mattison to win the starting job, but he's going to have to beat out guys like Nwangwu and Ty Chandler in camp. Even if Mattison is the no.1 on the depth chart, we imagine Nwangwu and Chandler will work their way into the mix. |

Vikings | Kene Nwangwu sidelined Fri Aug 5, 06:54 PM
Minnesota Vikings RB Kene Nwangwu (leg) has not participated in practice since Monday, Aug. 1, because of a leg injury, but the injury is not considered serious.
Footballguys view: Nwangwu, a fourth-round pick out of Iowa State in 2021, is working to be the Vikings' no.3 RB behind Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison. Speedy rookie Ty Chandler is a favorite of ours in deep dynasty formats, and he could push Nwangwu for that job in camp and the preseason. |

Vikings | Growing role for Kene Nwangwu? Sat Jun 25, 09:23 PM
Minnesota Vikings RB Kene Nwangwu 'figures to get more involved in the offense' this season, according to Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com.
Footballguys view: Nwangwu has great straight line speed, and he is at least part of the long term plan at running back with top notch backup Alexander Mattison set to hit free agency next year. The team also drafted Ty Chandler in the fifth round, a pick that belongs to the new regime, while Nwangwu was a pick of the previous regime, so we'll be watching the reports out of camp and preseason performances of both backs. |
