Broncos | Denver takes a look at three veterans    Tue Jun 13, 02:26 PM

Free-agent RB Benny Snell, PK Randy Bullock and RB Ryan Nall are trying out for the Denver Broncos during minicamp.

Footballguys view: The Broncos are going to run the heck out of the ball this year. Under new HC Sean Payton, the Broncos' offense could look like the 2021 Saints. That means they'll need a deep group of backs to get through the season. We imagine the Broncos use a 50-50 split between RB Javonte Williams and RB Samaje Perine.

Cowboys | Ryan Nall to miss a few weeks    Thu Aug 4, 06:50 PM

Dallas Cowboys FB Ryan Nall (shoulder) is expected to miss two to four weeks because of a deep shoulder contusion, according to a source.

Footballguys view: Nall is a big-bodied running back who has a hard nose for contact. He'll miss the rest of training camp, and Nall is going to be hard pressed to make the 53-man roster.

Cowboys | Ryan Nall headed to Dallas    Fri Apr 8, 01:58 PM

Free-agent RB Ryan Nall (Bears) signed a contract with the Dallas Cowboys on Friday, April 8. Terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.

Footballguys view: The "wrecking Nall" has been with the Bears since coming into the league as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon State in 2018. He's a no-nonsense runner and special teams player. That's what he should be now that he's landed with the Cowboys.

Bears | Five cleared to return for Chicago    Mon Dec 27, 01:35 PM

Chicago Bears WR Allen Robinson, TE Jesse James, CB Jaylon Johnson, RB Ryan Nall and S Tashaun Gipson were activated from the Reserve/COVID-19 list Monday, Dec. 27.

Footballguys view: Good news for the Bears here as they are getting through their recent COVID outbreak. Robinson has not been much of a fantasy asset this year, and over the final two weeks of the regular season he's only got flex appeal. A free agent in 2022, Robinson will likely move on and get a fresh start away from the Bears.

Bears | Ryan Nall let go    Tue Aug 31, 12:43 PM

Chicago Bears RB Ryan Nall was released Tuesday, Aug. 31.

Footballguys view: Nall is a big-bodied back who has stuck with the Bears since coming into the league as a UDFA out of Oregon State in 2018. He's a special teams player with only 13 career touches on offense. We expect Nall to land on the practice squad before the start of the regular season.

Bears | Ryan Nall receives new deal    Thu Feb 25, 07:48 PM

Chicago Bears exclusive rights free-agent RB Ryan Nall agreed to terms on a new contract with the Bears Thursday, Feb. 25. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Footballguys view: The 'Wrecking Nall' sticks with the Bears as a reserve back and special teams player. He'll serve as a backup to David Montgomery once again in 2021.

Bears | Three RBs may fight for one spot    Sat Jun 27, 03:39 PM

Chicago Bears RBs Napoleon Maxwell, Ryan Nall and Artavis Pierce may compete for one roster spot during training camp.

Footballguys view: The 'Wrecking Nall' has been with the team since he came into the league as a UDFA from Oregon State in 2018. He may be the favorite because of his experience but it's not much. Nall only played eight snaps last year over three games for the Bears. He's a big, power back who can grind down defenses. Compare this to Pierce, another Beavers UDFA (2020), who is a speed back who can catch passes. Maxwell is also more likely to be used as a receiver than Nall. This competition will work itself out in training camp.

Bears | Chicago shuffles roster    Sat Nov 9, 05:07 PM

Chicago Bears TE Bradley Sowell was waived Saturday, Nov. 9. RB Ryan Nall and LB James Vaughters were signed from the practice squad to the active roster.

Footballguys view: The Bears released Mike Davis and activating 'The Wrecking Nall' makes Bears fans happy because he's been a preseason favorite for a couple of years. Nall is a power back who could get a few carries here and there behind David Montgomery.

Footballguys view: We'll continue to monitor Nall and Gentry in super deep dynasty leagues. Nall is a big back, nicknamed 'Wrecking Nall' in college at Oregon State. He's a thumper who can grind down an opponent. Gentry is a sure-handed slot receiver with the quickness to make defenders miss.

The Chicago Bears signed OL Dejon Allen, DL Abdullah Anderson, QB Tyler Bray, WR Tanner Gentry, CB Michael Joseph, RB Taquan Mizzell, RB Ryan Nall and LB Josh Woods to the practice squad Sunday, Sept. 2.

Footballguys view: Gentry is a good route runner and has quickness to get open on underneath routes. Nall is a big bruiser who can play running back or fullback. We'll watch both, but only in super deep dynasty leagues of course.

Bears | Ryan Nall could make roster    Thu Jul 26, 11:09 PM

Chicago Bears RB Ryan Nall's versatility was praised by head coach Matt Nagy, and Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune believes Nall could make the 53-man roster as a fourth running back.

Footballguys view: Nall can catch the ball and run with power inside in addition to being a fullback. He might be the backup to Jordan Howard before this is all said and done and needs to be on your deep dynasty radar.

Bears | Chicago inks Ryan Nall    Sun Apr 29, 03:42 PM

Undrafted free-agent RB Ryan Nall (Oregon State) signed an undisclosed contract with the Chicago Bears on Sunday, April 29.

Footballguys view: Nall is a versatile fullback/runningback/H-back type who can catch the ball and provide high-end athleticism for a player with his bulk. He could stick in this new look Bears offense.

NFL | Ryan Nall declares for draft    Thu Jan 4, 11:42 PM

Oregon State RB Ryan Nall announced that he will enter the 2018 NFL Draft.

Footballguys view: Over the last two seasons, the back they call the "Wrecking Nall" was the centerpiece of the Beavers offense. He finishes his OSU career with 2,216 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns, along with 56 receptions for 563 receiving yards and four touchdowns. His size is imposing at 6'2" 240 pounds, and he is difficult to bring down when he builds a head of steam. Nall runs with proper patience and has a little bit of shimmy to create space in the open field.
