Buccaneers | Austin Seferian-Jenkins not being rushed Thu Oct 29, 07:45 PM
Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins (shoulder) remains uncertain for the Week 8 game against the Atlanta Falcons. TEs Cameron Brate, Brandon Myers and Luke Stocker has combined for just 11 catches, 95 yards and zero touchdowns on 16 targets in Seferian-Jenkins' absence. However, the Bucs aren't rushing Seferian-Jenkins back into action if he's not ready.
Footballguys view: If he plays he will be a lightly owned, productive TE1 but be prepared for him not to suit up and have an alternative. |

Buccaneers | Austin Seferian-Jenkins dropping passes Sat Aug 22, 09:30 AM
Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins has dropped way too many passes during training camp and could give way to TE Brandon Myers as the starter, according to NFL National reporter Pat Yasinkas.
Footballguys view: Keep an eye on this situation in deeper leagues. We love Seferian-Jenkins size and ability to high-point passes. Rookie QB Jameis Winston leaned on his tight ends heavily during his college career at Florida State, and he could do the same thing in the pros as he learns the ropes. |

Buccaneers | Mike Evans out 2-3 weeks Mon Sep 29, 11:50 AM
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (groin) will reportedly miss two or three weeks with a strained groin.
Footballguys view: Bad news for the rookie wide receiver here. He was showing great chemistry with quarterback Mike Glennon in the game against the Steelers in Week 3. With Evans out, the team will turn to guys like Louis Murphy or Russell Shepard to pick up the slack. Vincent Jackson should be more heavily targeted going forward as well. |

Buccaneers | Austin Seferian-Jenkins may be behind Fri Jun 20, 04:23 PM
Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins may not receive much playing time in the short term, although he's likely to be the team's long-term answer at the position. He will not take part in the team's offseason program, which could put him behind in the competition, and TEs Brandon Myers, Timothy Wright and Luke Stocker all have more experience.
Footballguys view: We love Seferian-Jenkins because of his size/speed combination. We'll see if he can continue creating mismatches as a move tight end now that he's in the pros. Don't go crazy for him in your drafts, but watch his progress in camp and the early portion of the season. |

Buccaneers | Timothy Wright could have big role Fri Jun 13, 01:42 PM
Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Timothy Wright could have a big role in the offense despite the offseason additions of TEs Brandon Myers and Austin Seferian-Jenkins, according to head coach Lovie Smith. Smith said that he has 'big plans' for Wright this year.
Footballguys view: We'd be interested to see how that works out. Seferian-Jenkins is the much better target because of his size and athletic ability. The team also added Mike Evans in the first round of the 2014 NFL draft. We can't see them going hog wild through the air, so it's best to look for a sleeper TE elsewhere. |

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Brandon Myers will receive $4 million on his two-year deal with the team, according to sources.
Footballguys view: The Bucs needed help at the tight end position, but it's debatable how much Myers will actually help. He can be a security blanket for Mike Glennon, but adding Myers is largely uninspiring. |

Giants | Brandon Myers could return Mon Feb 10, 02:06 PM
The New York Giants could be interested in re-signing free-agent TE Brandon Myers if the contract is cheap enough. The team likely will look in free agency and the draft to see if they can improve at tight end.
Footballguys view: The contract should be cheap. Myers didn't do much in 2013 with the Giants. The team sorely missed TE Martellus Bennett last year. We'll see if they can find a tight end this offseason. |

Updating a previous report, New York Giants TE Brandon Myers (groin) missed practice Thursday, Dec. 5, with a groin issue. Head coach Tom Coughlin said the hope is he will practice Friday, Dec. 5.
Footballguys view: Fantasy owners have better options than Myers anyway. He's not a great fantasy play even if he's in the lineup against the Chargers on Sunday. |

Giants | Brandon Myers not practicing Thu Dec 5, 12:34 PM

Giants | Brandon Myers questionable Wed Oct 9, 01:11 PM
New York Giants TE Brandon Myers (ankle) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 9, and is listed as questionable for Week 6.

Giants | Brandon Myers limited in practice Tue Oct 8, 02:34 PM
New York Giants TE Brandon Myers (ankle) was limited in practice Tuesday, Oct. 8.
Footballguys view: Fantasy owners hoping Myers would duplicate what he did last year with the Raiders have been sorely disappointed. It's past time to let him go if he's still on your roster. Waiver wire tight ends like Jeff Cumberland (Jets) or Charles Clay (Dolphins) are much better options. |

New York Giants TE Brandon Myers (ribs) had X-rays taken on his ribs due to a big hit in Week 2. He'll also undergo an MRI. He was also tested for a concussion, but passed the test.
Footballguys view: Myers was getting beat up by the Broncos' defense. Strong safety Duke Ihenacho was constantly hammering the veteran tight end anytime he caught the ball on Sunday. |

Giants | Brandon Myers building rapport with Eli Manning Wed Aug 7, 09:41 PM
New York Giants TE Brandon Myers has been jelling nicely with QB Eli Manning so far during training camp, and the two have been connecting on some long passes. They have reportedly looked good during goal line drills.
Footballguys view: An important note for fantasy owners here. Myers was the security blanket for QB Carson Palmer last year with the Raiders. He could play a similar role for Manning in 2013. Myers has an ADP of TE11 and he's coming off the board at 10.02 in 12 team PPR leagues. |

Giants | Brandon Myers agrees to terms Sat Mar 16, 08:10 PM
The New York Giants have agreed to terms with free-agent TE Brandon Myers (Raiders). Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Footballguys view: Myers can do what Jake Ballard (Patriots) did for the team years ago. Coming off a 79 catch season in 2012 the free agent market wasn't wild for his services. Myers is a consistent target who should become a favorite of QB Eli Manning. |

Giants | Brandon Myers to visit Sat Mar 16, 01:40 PM
The New York Giants are scheduled to meet with free-agent TE Brandon Myers (Raiders) Saturday, March 16.
Footballguys view: Myers had 79 catches last year for the Raiders but you couldn't tell by the cool market for his services. He could play a lot like Jake Ballard (Patriots) used to for the Giants. Myers is a safe TE, not a 'wow' player, and can be targeted consistently on short routes. |

Browns | Expected to pursue Brandon Myers Tue Mar 12, 06:45 PM
The Cleveland Browns are expected to pursue unrestricted free-agent TE Brandon Myers (Raiders) after missing out on signing St. Louis Rams TE Jared Cook.

If the New York Giants are unable to re-sign impending free-agent TE Martellus Bennett, they might turn their attention to free-agent TEs Anthony Fasano (Dolphins) or Brandon Myers (Raiders). An NFL source said tight ends coach Mike Pope has his eye on an under-the-radar, undisclosed tight end option in the upcoming 2013 NFL Draft, too.
Footballguys view: We like Myers over Fasano here. He proved last year during his 79 catch season that he could be a QBs security blanket. |
