Redskins | Not interested in Santana Moss    Wed Jul 22, 02:34 PM

Free-agent WR Santana Moss (Redskins) is not a player the Washington Redskins are interested in re-signing at this time. The team could pursue him if one of their veteran wide receivers suffers an injury.

Footballguys view: After catching 42 passes in 2013, Moss only hauled in 10 grabs last year. He's not the same player he used to be, but there might be some team interested in adding him as veteran depth.

NFL | Santana Moss not ready to retire    Fri May 15, 07:07 PM

Free-agent WR Santana Moss (Redskins) is not ready to hang up his cleats and retire this offseason. 'I'm a free agent right now, you know how they do us old guys,' Moss said. 'I'm going on my 15th year. Right now my agent is talking with some teams to see what's going to be my best scenario. Right now I'm just chilling, just enjoying life, and enjoying this off time.' The Washington Redskins are unlikely to re-sign him, though, after drafting two wide receivers late in this year's draft.

Redskins | Santana Moss could return    Fri Mar 27, 03:55 PM

Free-agent WR Santana Moss (Redskins) could re-sign with the Washington Redskins this offseason, but the two sides have not had a lot of talks to this point. The team likely will see what happens during the draft before making a decision on Moss.

Footballguys view: Nothing to see here for fantasy owners...even in the deepest of dynasty leagues. It's a fantastic WR class, so Washington could address the position with a better (and younger) option in the draft.

Redskins | Santana Moss wants to continue playing    Tue Dec 30, 05:38 AM

Washington Redskins WR Santana Moss, who does not have a contract for 2015, wants to continue playing and would prefer to stick with the Redskins.

Footballguys view: We'll see if Washington wants Moss back. The veteran receiver appeared in only nine games this year, finished 2014 with 10 catches for 116 yards. We doubt he comes back, and there's probably not a lot of teams lined up for his services at this point in his career.

Redskins | Leonard Hankerson to PUP?    Thu Aug 14, 06:46 PM

Washington Redskins WR Leonard Hankerson (knee) may be placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list, according to head coach Jay Gruden. Gruden added the team may keep WR Santana Moss for the first few weeks of the season while Hankerson would be on the PUP list.

Footballguys view: Hankerson has been useless both as a fantasy and an NFL receiver so far and whether he is on the PUP or on the field he isn't worth anything to your fantasy roster.

Redskins | Robert Griffin to work out with some teammates    Mon Mar 17, 02:33 PM

Among the players that will take part in the workouts include RBs Alfred Morris, Evan Royster and Chris Thompson, WRs Pierre Garcon, Aldrick Robinson, Santana Moss, Andre Roberts and David Gettis and TE Jordan Reed.

Footballguys view: Griffin has to bounce back this year after a disappointing sophomore season. It's good that he's taking this offseason to show leadership skills. He could have a fine year under new head coach Jay Gruden.

Redskins | Santana Moss disagrees with Robert Griffin    Tue Nov 19, 11:32 PM

Washington Redskins WR Santana Moss took exception to comments made by QB Robert Griffin III about the final play of the Week 11 game against the Philadelphia Eagles, and his failure to take responsibility. 'As a leader, you understand that if you're involved in the situation, whether you're the receiver, the quarterback, the guys making the tackle, whoever. Regardless of the outcome, good or bad, you have to at some point, stand up and say me or I,' Moss said in a radio interview Tuesday, Nov. 19.

Footballguys view: Griffin's comments were a bit passive/aggressive as he took veiled shots at the coaching staff and his wide receivers. He should spend time looking in the mirror and cleaning up his off target passes.

Washington Redskins WR Aldrick Robinson has had 'one heck of a camp,' head coach Mike Shanahan said.

Redskins | Santana Moss restructures    Tue Mar 12, 11:02 AM

Washington Redskins WR Santana Moss restructured his contract and saved the team $2 million in cap space.

Washington Redskins WR Santana Moss' salary will jump from $2.65 million to $4.15 million next season, making him among the team's five highest base salaries.

Footballguys view: Moss would likely have to renegotiate his deal if he wants to stick around in 2013. We don't see that as being a problem for the veteran WR.

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon has been the team's leading target receiver, despite which quarterback was in the game. QB Kirk Cousins targeted Garcon 12 times in Week 15, while WR Santana Moss had six targets.

Redskins | Santana Moss finds end zone    Sun Oct 28, 04:18 PM

Washington Redskins WR Santana Moss had four catches for just 21 yards in Week 8 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he was able to score a touchdown.

Footballguys view: Moss seems to be prominent in Robert Griffin III's mind when he's in the opponent's end of the field, so he might be the most valuable Redskins receiver to own until Pierre Garcon comes back. He's still only an end of the bench emergency option, but Moss hasn't lost that much in his 30's.

Washington Redskins WRs Pierre Garcon, Santana Moss and Leonard Hankerson have all put up solid showings in training camp and all three of them have had the most extensive playing time with the first-string offense.

Footballguys view: Garçon will be the team's primary deep threat and should be able to make the most of Robert Griffin III strong arm. Moss should catch a ton of passes on underneath passes while Hankerson's size makes him a good red zone target.
