Colts | Devin Moore says he has to prove he deserves roster spot    Mon Jul 4, 01:28 PM

Indianapolis Colts RB Devin Moore said he will have to prove that he deserves a spot on the roster during training camp after missing a majority of the season because of neck and shoulder injuries. 'I'm looking to show why they kept me in the beginning and that I've grown,' Moore said. 'I want to be that hometown Colt again, the guy everybody can cheer for.' Moore said he is healed from the injuries and that he has added 10 pounds to help him be a better blocker.

Footballguys view: Moore''s game is all about speed. He's very fast in a straight line, but lacks creativity and elusiveness in the open field. His special teams ability could help his chances of making the team. Moore is certainly on the roster bubble but could make it through cuts with a good showing in training camp.

Colts | Devin Moore recovered from injury    Sun Jun 12, 02:12 PM

Indianapolis Colts RB Devin Moore said he is fully recovered from the surgery he underwent to repair nerve damage to his neck and shoulder he had during the 2010 season.

Footballguys view: Moore could make the team as a return specialist, but he is very unlikely to figure in the backfield even if everyone in front of him goes down, like they did in 2010.

Indianapolis Colts RB Devin Moore is a long-shot to make the team's final roster, reports Phil Richards, of The Indianapolis Star.

Colts | Mike Hart could be pushed for roster spot    Sat Jul 24, 03:20 PM

Indianapolis Colts RB Mike Hart could be pushed for a roster spot by RB Devin Moore and RB Javarris James, according to The Sports XChange.

Footballguys view: Javarris James aka 'Baby J' is the cousin of former Colts great Edgerrin James. He was a solid RB in college for the Miami Hurricanes, but never really wowed people or lived up to expectations. Devin Moore is a super fast back from Wyoming, but he lacks the creativity as a runner to be anything more than a change of pace back.

Colts | King, Moore signed to future contracts    Fri Jan 29, 12:37 PM

Phil Richards and Mike Chappell, of The Indianapolis Star, report the Indianapolis Colts have signed free-agent DE Mitch King (Titans) and RB Devin Moore (Seahawks) to future contracts. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.

Footballguys view: We saw Devin Moore at the Texas vs The Nation Game last year and came away impressed with his speed and receiving ability. He's not much of a runner between the tackles, but can be a dangerous weapon in open space.

Seahawks | Ruskell: RBBC, but Jones will get 'bulk of carries'    Fri Jul 31, 09:38 AM

Eric Williams, of the Tacoma News-Tribune, reports that Seahawks GM said at his press conference that "what we have is running back by committee. I believe what the coaches are saying is that Julius [Jones] will get the bulk of the carries, but those other guys have their roles as well." Ruskell also said the team is pleasantly surprised at how well Justin Forsett has done in the zone blocking scheme, and that undrafted free agent back Devin Moore is fast and has taken to the one-step-and-go concept.

Footballguys view: We won't blame you if you take Jones in the 8th-10th round of your draft. It seems like a great value for a starting running back. Just make sure you trade him when he gets hot, because we don't trust him to do it all year. Look at his game logs from last year if you don't believe us.

Seahawks | D. Moore, Kirtman in the hunt to make team    Sun Jun 21, 09:20 PM

Eric Williams, of the Tacoma News Tribune, reports Seattle Seahawks RB Devin Moore and FB David Kirtman are in the hunt to make the team's final roster. Moore will likely go to the team's practice squad.

Footballguys view: Devin Moore is the blazing fast RB from Wyoming who didn't get a combine invite in 2009. He was at the Texas vs The Nation Game in El Paso, but didn't stand out compared to RBs like Bernard Scott and Frank Summers. He is great running in a straight line, but doesn't have crazy ankle breaking moves in the open field as he runs a little out of control. He could be effective as a receiver out of the backfield and maybe a return man in the NFL.
