Eagles | McNabb throws for 450 yards Week 10    Sun Nov 15, 07:37 PM

The Associated Press reports Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb was 35-for-55 for 450 yards with two touchdown passes and an interception Week 10 against the San Diego Chargers.

Our view: The Eagles rushing attack was ineffective and Andy Reid relied heavily on the passing game after falling behind early. McNabb had huge numbers, but the team struggled significantly in short yardage and in the red zone.

Eagles | McNabb throws three touchdowns Week 8    Sun Nov 1, 04:31 PM

The Associated Press reports Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb went 17-for-23 for 240 yards and three touchdowns in Week 8.

Our view: McNabb was efficient again, dropping a TD pass in a small window to Brent Celek early and hitting DeSean Jackson behind the defense for a long TD pass again late.

Eagles | Will continue to use wildcat    Sat Oct 24, 11:56 AM

Jeff McLane, of The Philadelphia Inquirer, reports Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid and offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg insist that the wildcat/spread option packages will continue to be a component of the team's offense. RBs Brian Westbrook and LeSean McCoy and WRs DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin have taken direct snaps in the shotgun. Since QB Donovan McNabb returned from his rib injury two games ago, only McCoy, on three run plays in Week 5, has been utilized in the formation. 'There are certain weeks that that's going to be used, certain weeks it won't be used,' Reid said. 'We just didn't get to it this week.'

Eagles | McNabb practices Friday    Fri Oct 23, 05:17 PM

Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb (rib) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 23. He is expected to play in Week 7.

Our view: McNabb should be good to go on Monday night against the Redskins. The Eagles were embarrassed last week in their loss to the Raiders, and could take out their frustrations on Washington.

Eagles | Jackson not upset with Week 5 performance    Tue Oct 13, 03:19 PM

Bob Brookover, of The Philadelphia Inquirer, reports Philadelphia Eagles WR DeSean Jackson is not upset over his poor Week 5 performance, in which he caught just one pass for one yard. 'As a competitor, sure I want as many catches as I can get,' Jackson said. 'But you know there are going to be times when teams are going to try to take me out of the game, and Jeremy Maclin made some huge catches. It was definitely a great game for him.' QB Donovan McNabb said Maclin had a big game because the Tampa Bay Buccaneers covered Jackson extremely well. 'They rolled the coverage a lot to his side, and you want to get your weapons going,' McNabb said. 'Teams are going to try to take someone in this offense out of it. They're trying to take DeSean out, and when you give (other) guys an opportunity to make plays for you, I have full confidence that they will.'

Our view: With Jeremy Maclin elevating his game defenses going up against the Eagles are going to have a lot more to worry about when McNabb is throwing the ball. Jackson should get back on track, and fantasy owners have nothing to worry about here.

Eagles | McNabb throws three TD passes Week 5    Sun Oct 11, 06:58 PM

The Associated Press reports Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb was 16-for-21 for 264 yards with three touchdown passes Week 5.

Our view: McNabb showed a strong arm and good accuracy after the bye week and was again helped by long run after catch performances from his wide receivers.

Les Bowen, of the Philadelphia Daily News, reports Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb (rib) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 9. He is listed as probable for Week 5 and will play.

Our view: This is a great matchup for McNabb to come back to. The Buccaneers are getting safety Tanard Jackson back from suspension, but they are still one of the weakest secondaries in the league.

Eagles | McNabb to start Week 5    Wed Oct 7, 12:09 PM

ESPNews reports Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb (rib) will start in Week 5.

Our view: It's a great matchup for the Eagles quarterback to get in his first week back. The Buccaneers secondary has been torched all season long, and even with the return of Tanard Jackson, they will find it difficult to defend all the weapons the Eagles have on offense.

Eagles | McNabb injury update    Mon Sep 28, 01:23 PM

Geoff Mosher, of the News Journal, reports Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid said QB Donovan McNabb (rib) is still mending from a fractured rib injury and will continue to throw footballs during the bye week. Reid said McNabb was still feeling tightness in the rib area made no guarantee that McNabb would start following the bye.

Our view: The Eagles offense can rack up yards with Kevin Kolb under center, so the Eagles aren't in any hurry to rush McNabb back from this injury.

Eagles | Week 3 Inactives    Sun Sep 27, 11:51 AM

The Philadelphia Eagles have declared RB Brian Westbrook, CB Dimitri Patterson, QB Donovan McNabb, DL Jason Babin, WR Kevin Curtis, OL Mike McGlynn, SS Quintin Demps, OG Todd Herremans inactive for Week 3.

Our view: As we reported earlier, Westbrook and Curtis are both inactive today. LeSean McCoy will get a heavy workload today and makes for a strong start. Jeremy Maclin gets his first start with Curtis out. DeSean Jackson is active, but there are reports that he may be limited if the weather is bad.

Les Bowen, of the Philadelphia Daily News, reports Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb (rib) is not participating in practice Friday, Sept. 25.

Eagles | McNabb misses practice Thursday    Thu Sep 24, 07:54 PM

Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb (ribs) missed the team's practice Thursday, Sept. 24, and he is unlikely to play in the team's Week 3 game.

Our view: Kevin Kolb gets another start, and he's worth plugging in your lineup if you're a McNabb owner and your backup has stumbled out of the gate.

The Associated Press reports Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid is not sure whether QB Jeff Garcia or QB Michael Vick would be the backup quarterback if QB Kevin Kolb starts in Week 3. Kolb would receive the starting nod if QB Donovan McNabb (rib) is unable to play.

Our view: With the way that Kolb played against the Saints, it wouldn't surprise us to see Vick or Garcia in the lineup if Kolb's struggles continue.

Eagles | McNabb could return for Week 3    Mon Sep 21, 12:44 PM

CBSSports.com reports Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid said there is a chance QB Donovan McNabb (rib) will practice this week and play in Week 3. If McNabb is unable to play, QB Kevin Kolb would start.

Our view: Kevin Kolb was less than impressive in his start against New Orleans, but the team has no need to rush McNabb back before he's ready.

Eagles | McNabb misses practice Friday    Fri Sep 18, 12:13 PM

CBSSports.com reports Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb (rib) is not practicing Friday, Sept. 18.

Updating a previous report, Les Bowen, of the Philadelphia Daily News, reports Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb (rib) likely will not play in the team's Week 2 game.

Jeff McLane, of the Philadelphia Inquirer, reports Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb (rib) is not participating in practice Thursday, Sept. 17.

Eagles | McNabb to be held out of practice Wednesday    Wed Sep 16, 12:35 PM

The Associated Press reports Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb (rib) will be held out of practice Wednesday, Sept. 16. Head Coach Andy Reid said McNabb is making progress. However, Reid added it is still too early to determine if McNabb will start in Week 2. QB Kevin Kolb is expected to take the snaps with the starters in practice.

Our view: The Eagles have no reason to rush McNabb back to the lineup. Kevin Kolb has been groomed for this, and the Eagles went out and signed Jeff Garcia just in case.

Jeff McLane, of the Philadelphia Inquirer, reports Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb (ribs) is "doubtful" for the team's Week 2 game against the New Orleans Saints, according to a team source. Head coach Andy Reid refused to give a prognosis on whether McNabb would miss any time after the team's Week 1 game.

The Associated Press reports Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb (rib) threw two touchdown passes and ran for another score during the team's Week 1 game. McNabb finished the game 10-for-18 for 79 yards.
