New York Jets WR Santonio Holmes has not responded to an invite from QB Mark Sanchez to attend the 'Jets West' workout, according to a source. Holmes didn't attend the workouts last year either while he was an unrestricted free agent. QB Greg McElroy, WRs Jeremy Kerley, Patrick Turner and Scotty McKnight, RBs Shonn Green, Joe McKnight and John Conner and TEs Dustin Keller, Jeff Cumberland and Josh Baker will also attend. RB Terrance Ganaway will not be attending, and WR Stephen Hill and RB Bilal Powell have not yet committed.

The New York Jets placed WR Scotty McKnight (knee) on the practice squad Injured Reserve Tuesday, Nov. 1, with a torn ACL in his left knee. In a corresponding move, the team re-signed WR Mike Campbell to the practice squad.

Sanchez was throwing to prospects, including WR Scott McKnight, who also happens to be a close childhood friend. 'He's pretty good, man,' Sanchez said. 'I think he's like a (New England Patriots WR) Wes Welker. He's smart. He studies. He knows football really well. He definitely has a coach's feel for the game.'

University of Colorado WR Scotty McKnight measured 5-foot-10 1/2, 182 pounds at his Pro Day Wednesday, March 9, reports NFL.com's Gil Brandt. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.49 seconds and 4.58 seconds, the short shuttle in 4.04 seconds and the three-cone drill in 6.84 seconds. He measured a 34-inch vertical leap, a 10-foot broad jump and completed 13 repetitions on the 225-pounds bench press.
