Jaguars.com reports the Jacksonville Jaguars have released FS Marlon McCree, RB Chauncey Washington, P Steve Weatherford, CB Brian Williams, LB Thomas Williams, WR Tiquan Underwood, QB Todd Boeckman, DE Jeremy Navarre, C Cecil Newton, WR Todd Peterson and LB Johnny Williams.
| Footballguys view: Tiquan Underwood is a bit of a surprise here. He was a rising star in training camp, and his play was reminding people that Kenny Britt wasn't the only pro hopeful at receiver for Rutgers. Chauncey Washington never lived up to the hype at USC, and so far has been a below average pro back. Both Underwood and Washington could return on the practice squad. |

Michael C. Wright, of the Florida Times-Union, reports the Jacksonville Jaguars have agreed to terms with unrestricted free-agent FS Marlon McCree (Broncos).
| Footballguys view: Originally a 7th round selection by the Jaguars in 2001, McCree has bounced around the league with stops Houston), Carolina), San Diego and Denver. McCree played the first three years of his career in Jacksonville, but the club abruptly released him just two games into the 2003 season. Terms of the contract were not disclosed but it is believed to be a one-year deal worth the veteran minimum. |
