Bears head coach Marc Trestman warned not to read into the situation, saying he wanted to see how McCray, a special teams standout, would fit in with the starters. 'In terms of covering and in terms of the run game, his effort level has been very high,' Trestman said. 'He's a highly intelligent player. He has played consistently and continued to ascend over the last few days.'
