Redskins | Byron Marshall will be activated Sat Nov 17, 01:39 PM
Washington Redskins RB Byron Marshall (knee) will be activated from the Reserve/Injured list Saturday, Nov. 17, according to a source.
Footballguys view: Washington's backfield is quite banged up right now. Adrian Peterson is the lead back and Kapri Bibbs is the receiving back for the team with Chris Thompson out. Marshall should work as the no3 back for Washington this week. |

Redskins | Byron Marshall to miss time after all Fri Aug 17, 03:00 PM
Updating a previous report, Washington Redskins RB Byron Marshall (leg) is expected to miss two to four weeks of time, a source told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Previous reports suggested Marshall had received a clean bill of health after the preseason injury suffered Thursday, Aug. 16.
Footballguys view: The injuries to Marshall, Derrius Guice and Samaje Perine increase the chances for Kapri Bibbs to make the final roster, and give UDFA Martez Carter more of a chance to show his stuff in the last two preseason games. |

Washington Redskins RB Byron Marshall (leg) left the preseason game early Thursday, Aug. 16, and is being evaluated for a lower leg injury.

Redskins | Byron Marshall will assume passing role Tue Nov 21, 03:17 PM
Washington Redskins RB Byron Marshall is expected to take over RB Chris Thompson's third-down role in Washington's offense.
Footballguys view: It's a gut punch for fantasy owners to lose Thompson, but Marshall should be on plenty of waiver wires out there. Marshall was signed off the Philadelphia Eagles' practice squad just last week, but he does have experience as a receiver...most from his college days at Oregon. During the Ducks title run in 2014, Marshall had eight receptions for 169 yards and one touchdown in the championship game. |

Redskins | Byron Marshall plucked from Philadelphia Tue Nov 14, 12:27 PM
The Washington Redskins signed RB Byron Marshall off of the Philadelphia Eagles' practice squad and added him to the active roster Tuesday, Nov. 14.
Footballguys view: Marshall was picked up by the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon in 2016. He appeared in three games for the Eagles last year and found his way back to the team's practice squad in 2017. Washington had worked out free agent backs like Ronnie Hillman and Daryl Richardson due to the injury to starter Rob Kelley. |

Eagles | Philly adds five to practice squad Sun Sep 3, 04:02 PM
The Philadelphia Eagles signed TE Billy Brown, RB Byron Marshall, QB Nate Sudfeld, WR Bryce Treggs and WR Greg Ward Jr. to their practice squad Sunday, Sept. 3.
Footballguys view: Brown and Ward are interesting long-term prospects, Ward as a converted quarterback and Brown a WR/TE tweener. The Eagles also snagged Washington's former development quarterback, Sudfeld, who would have been in a good spot if Washington had kept him and Kirk Cousins walked next year. |

Eagles | Philly trims roster Sat Sep 2, 04:14 PM
The Philadelphia Eagles cut TE Billy Brown, RB Byron Marshall, WR Bryce Treggs and WR Greg Ward Jr. Saturday, Sept. 2.
Footballguys view: Marshall wasn't going to make the roster anyway. The team is moving forward with LeGarrette Blount as their banger between the tackles. Darren Sproles and rookie D.J. Pumphrey will serve as change-of-pace options. Wendell Smallwood will try to earn some snaps here and there too. |

Eagles | Byron Marshall to see expanded role Thu Dec 29, 01:43 AM
Philadelphia Eagles RB Byron Marshall should see an expanded role in the regular season finale against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 17.
Footballguys view: We still see Darren Sproles as a slightly better play (in PPR leagues) in a tough matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. The only good thing here is that the Cowboys don't have anything to play for and can rest starters, so Marshall and Sproles might both have success against bench players. |

Eagles | Doug Pederson confident in Byron Marshall Sat Dec 17, 08:37 PM
Philadelphia Eagles RB Byron Marshall will be able to handle whatever workload he is given, head coach Doug Pederson said, but Pederson said it is hard to gauge what role Marshall will have until the game starts to unfold.

Eagles | Duo to fill Darren Sproles' roles in Week 15 Fri Dec 16, 01:36 PM
Philadelphia Eagles RBs Kenjon Barner and Byron Marshall will share the passing-down/breather-back roles in Week 15 versus the Baltimore Ravens left behind by Darren Sproles, who has been ruled out.
Footballguys view: Neither back should have much fantasy relevance in Week 15. Ryan Mathews will get a bulk of the work, and we look at him as a RB3 against the Ravens. |

Eagles | Byron Marshall to have a role Fri Dec 16, 10:52 AM
Philadelphia Eagles RB Byron Marshall will have a role in Week 15, according to head coach Doug Pederson.
Footballguys view: Marshall will be splitting time with Kenjon Barner as a reserve back behind starter Ryan Mathews. He may have a role, but we don't see Marshall as being fantasy relevant in Week 15. |

Eagles | Byron Marshall promoted Tue Dec 13, 09:16 AM
Philadelphia Eagles RB Byron Marshall was promoted to the 53-man roster Tuesday, Dec. 13.
Footballguys view: Marshall was a standout player during his college career at Oregon. He posted a 1,000 yard rushing and 1,000 yard receiving season for the Ducks. With Wendell Smallwood on IR and Darren Sproles in the concussion protocol, Marshall could see some time in Week 15. Ryan Mathews should start and Kenjon Barner would be the primary backup. |

Eagles | Kenjon Barner on the bubble Tue Jun 21, 02:10 AM
Philadelphia Eagles RB Kenjon Barner is on the bubble as RB Byron Marshall projects as a younger version of him.
Footballguys view: Both Barner and Marshall played college football at Oregon. Marshall is a 'tweener slot receiver/speed running back who is electric with the ball in his hands. The rookie is coming back from a serious ankle injury that ended his final season for the Ducks after only a few games. We'll see this battle shake out in training camp. Lots of fantasy owners will be dialed into the RB competition behind Ryan Mathews as the starter has a long injury history. |
