| Our view: You can't keep Peyton Manning down! Trailing 31-14 in the fourth quarter, Manning led his team to a comeback for the ages. When Patriots coach Bill Belichick decided to go for it on fourth down inside his own 30 yard line, it only gave Manning a short field to win the game. The Patriots/Colts rivalry is easily one of the best in the game today. |

The Associated Press reports Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning was 34-for-50 for 318 yards with a touchdown pass and an interception Week 9 against the Houston Texans. He opened the game with 25 passes in the first quarter, the most by any quarterback in the first quarter since 1991. Manning became the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for 40,000 yards within a decade. The team's win was also his 125th career victory, tying him for fourth with former NFL QB Fran Tarkenton on the career list.
| Our view: Manning actually had more than half of his production in the first quarter, but a few of the Colts drives stalled out in field goals, and the Texans defense did a much better job of defending Manning and co. in the second half. |
