Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (knee) fully participated in practice Saturday, Nov. 16, and is not on the injury report for Week 11.

Footballguys view: Start Mahomes as you normally would. He was back last week, and while the Chiefs didn't win against the Titans it was not due to Mahomes. We'll be starting him in plenty of leagues once again in Week 11 as the Chiefs play the Chargers on Monday night in Mexico City.

Footballguys view: He's getting close, but the Chiefs are wisely being cautious with their superstar quarterback. Reid added Mahomes looked better in practice last week. We'll know more about his status as the week of practice rolls on. They do have a bye in Week 12, but Mahomes might be back before then. Coming up in Week 10, the Chiefs travel to play the Titans. Updating a previous report, Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (knee) has a chance of playing Sunday, Nov. 3, against the Minnesota Vikings, sources told ESPN's Ed Werder Saturday, Nov. 2.

Footballguys view: They say that, but the reality of the situation is that Mahomes may be better off just missing another game. Matt Moore showed last week the offense wouldn't go under without Mahomes, but it certainly is not the same without the superstar quarterback. We'll see if the team actually gets Mahomes back in the starting lineup in Week 9.

Footballguys view: Zero surprise here. Mahomes likely needs another week of rest. Moore gets another start and the offense is not as bad with him in at quarterback as some feared. Behind him, newly-activated Chad Henne will be the backup.

Kansas City Chiefs OG Laurent Duvernay-Tardif (ankle), OT Eric Fisher (groin) and DE Alex Okafor (ankle) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 9 against the Minnesota Vikings. DE Frank Clark (neck), CB Kendall Fuller (thumb) and QB Patrick Mahomes (knee) were limited in practice Friday, Nov. 1, and are listed as questionable. DT Chris Jones (groin) practiced in full for a second straight day on Friday and is also listed as questionable. CB Bashaud Breeland (shoulder) and P Dustin Colquitt (thigh) were limited Friday but no longer appear on the injury report. TE Blake Bell (back) and OG Andrew Wylie (ankle) practiced in full all week and have also been removed from the injury report.

Footballguys view: This is likely gamesmanship, although Mahomes is questionable, which leaves the door open. Check back Sunday morning, but set lineups as if Matt Moore will start.

Footballguys view: Sanity reigns as Mahomes being healthy enough to practice was not seen as evidence that he could play. He could return to face Minnesota next week.

Updating an earlier report, Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (knee) will throw the ball today at practice, and they'll see if he can make it through the individual period.

Footballguys view: We'll have to see how Mahomes responds to this physical activity. Matt Moore is still getting the first-team reps and we think Moore starts in Week 8 even though Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has not ruled Mahomes out. The team will be smart with their superstar quarterback. He wants to get back out there but it's better to proceed with caution and bring him back in a couple of weeks.

Footballguys view: He dislocated his knee cap less than a week ago and now he's back to practice. Of course he wants to play, but his long-term health is more important. Head coach Andy Reid didn't rule out Mahomes playing in Week 8. His original timetable to return was 3-6 weeks. Mahomes could return before a three-week absence. Stay tuned.

Footballguys view: Good news for the Chiefs here. Head athletic trainer Rick Burkholder provided an update on Monday, Oct. 21, telling reporters Mahomes' injury 'turned out as (well) as we could (have) possibly imagined.' They'll still be without Mahomes for a few weeks (most likely). Veteran Matt Moore will start in his place.
