Vikings | Lewis signed    Thu Sep 10, 12:25 PM

Updating a previous report, The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports the Minnesota Vikings have signed unrestricted free-agent WR Greg Lewis (Patriots). Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Footballguys view: Lewis replaces Bobby Wade on the roster, and he has worked with head coach Brad Childress before back when they were both at Philadelphia. Wade was the team's leading receiver the last 2 seasons, but was expected to see a decreased role because of rookie Percy Harvin. The team decided to go in a different direction, but fantasy owners should not expect much production from Lewis.

Christopher L. Gasper, of The Boston Globe, reports New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (knee) said it is easy to regain chemistry with WR Randy Moss. 'He's the best receiver to probably ever play the game. You just have to throw it where he's running, because he's usually open,' Brady said.
