Steelers | Contact Lemon Mon Nov 23, 03:09 PM
Jason La Canfora, of the NFL Network, reports the Pittsburgh Steelers have contacted free-agent QB Cleo Lemon (Ravens) after losing QB Charlie Batch (wrist) to an injury, according to a source.
Footballguys view: If Big Ben were to miss the Steelers game this Sunday we could see Dennis Dixon get his first start in the NFL. Lemon could be looked at for depth, but Pittsburgh would be in trouble if he had to start a game for them this season. |

Footballguys view: Who knew the Titans would be in the market for a quarterback with Kerry Collins, Vince Young, and Patrick Ramsey on the roster? If the Titans like what they see in Lemon, they could decide to let Ramsey go. |

Ravens | Lemon signs one-year deal Sun Aug 16, 02:53 PM
Jason La Canfora, of The NFL Network, reports the Baltimore Ravens have signed free-agent QB Cleo Lemon (Jaguars) to a one-year deal, according to a league source. Lemon is with the team for practice Sunday, Aug. 16.
Footballguys view: We anticipated this signing yesterday, when Lemon was brought in for a tryout. The Ravens are concerned about John Beck's injured shoulder, even though an MRI showed no tears to any muscles or ligaments. Lemon has experience with offensive coordinator Cam Cameron from their days together in Miami, so he shouldn't have any trouble picking up the offense. |

Ravens | Looking at Cleo Lemon? Sat Aug 15, 01:17 PM
MASNsports.com is reporting the Ravens are looking to add a veteran QB, and have worked out Cleo Lemon.
Footballguys view: Lemon played under Ravens offensive coordinator Cam Cameron with the Dolphins in 2007, and knows the system. That experience in this offense means he could step right in and not be too far behind, even though we're two weeks into training camp. |

Patriots | Extend offer to Lemon Sat Aug 1, 04:22 PM
Jason La Canfora, of the NFL Network, reports the New England Patriots have extended an offer to unrestricted free-agent QB Cleo Lemon (Jaguars), according to a source. The two sides are currently working on an agreement.
Footballguys view: We started wondering about the Pats signing a veteran QB after Boston Globe writer Mike Reiss suggested that Brian Griese could be a good fit. There's no reason for them to count on Kevin O'Connell to be as good in his second year as Matt Cassel was in his fourth. |

Paul Kuharsky, of ESPN.com, reports the Jacksonville Jaguars have terminated the contract of QB Cleo Lemon.
Footballguys view: After coming over from the Dolphins in 2008 Lemon did little to impress during his time in Jacksonville. This leaves the backup job behind David Garrard to Todd Bouman who has come back to Jacksonville from Baltimore. |
