The team is required to release an injury report for their Week 2 game Thursday, Sept. 11, against the Baltimore Ravens, even though they did not officially take the practice field Monday.

The Pittsburgh Steelers could re-sign free-agent DE Brett Keisel right before training camp starts, in the opinion of Scott Brown of ESPN.com. Keisel could be a terrific mentor for DE Stephon Tuitt, and it would allow the team to bring him along slowly.

The Pittsburgh Steelers remain interested in bringing back free-agent DE Brett Keisel (Steelers), but only at a minimum contract for one year. The deal would include a $955,000 salary plus a $65,000 signing bonus, but would count just $635,000 against their cap in 2014 because of the veteran minimum salary benefit rule in the collective bargaining agreement.
