Denver Broncos QB Case Keenum completed 35-of-51 passes for a season-best 377 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Week 5 against the New York Jets.

Footballguys view: Keenum had big numbers but a lot came with the Jets comfortably in the lead. Calls for Chad Kelly will continue as the Broncos have the Rams on the schedule next week. Keenum will be a boom/bust streamer.

Denver Broncos QB Case Keenum (knee) practiced in full for a third straight day on Saturday, Sept. 29 and he was removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 4 game with the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday, Oct. 1.

Footballguys view: Keenum was practicing with a knee brace this week. He wore one in the Week 3 loss to the Ravens and might just be getting used to it. Reports indicate Keenum was moving around well during the media portion of practice. Against the Chiefs 'defense' on Monday night, Keenum makes for an interesting streaming option for Fantasy GMs.

Broncos | Case Keenum fully practices    Thu Sep 27, 07:11 PM

Denver Broncos QB Case Keenum (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 27.

Footballguys view: Keenum is practicing with a knee brace for the first time this year. He wore the brace against the Ravens in Week 3 after experiencing some knee soreness after the game against the Raiders in Week 2. Broncos head coach Vance Joseph insists that Keenum is totally fine and the veteran quarterback was reported to be moving around well during practice on Thursday. They'll need Keenum at his best against the Chiefs on Monday night.

Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos QB Case Keenum (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 20.

Footballguys view: He wanted to practice on Wednesday but the team gave him some rest as he was experiencing knee soreness. He hasn't been good this year but the Broncos are 2-0. We've got Keenum as a QB2 or streaming option on the road against the Ravens in Week 3.

Broncos | Case Keenum back on field    Thu Sep 20, 02:14 PM

Denver Broncos QB Case Keenum (knee) is participating in practice Thursday, Sept. 20.

Footballguys view: Keenum got some rest on Wednesday with what was described as knee soreness. He hasn't played that great so far this year but the Broncos are 2-0. Their first road game of the year is this Sunday against the Ravens, and we can't trust Keenum as anything more than a QB2 or streaming option.

Broncos | Case Keenum not practicing    Wed Sep 19, 02:05 PM

Denver Broncos QB Case Keenum (knee) was not present for practice Wednesday, Sept. 19, as he nurses a sore knee, according to as source. His absence was a precaution and he will be back on the practice field Thursday, Sept. 20.

Footballguys view: The team is taking it easy on Keenum and we're expecting him to practice the rest of the week and play on Sunday. On Wednesday, Chad Kelly took first-team reps and looked good during the media portion of practice. We love Kelly in dynasty formats but he's going to have to wait for an opportunity.

Broncos | Short, quiet night for Case Keenum    Sat Aug 11, 10:43 PM

Denver Broncos QB Case Keenum completed one of his four passes for five yards in his only series against the Minnesota Vikings in the preseason Saturday, Aug. 11.

Footballguys view: Keenum looked feeble on third down, but it's just one game. He'll likely be an upgrade from Trevor Siemian, but the size of the upgrade is yet to be seen. Hopefully the offense shows more with Keenum in the next two preseason games.

Broncos | Case Keenum mistake-free    Thu Aug 2, 11:53 AM

Denver Broncos QB Case Keenum hasn't thrown an interception in the first five days of practice.

Footballguys view: Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers has thrown seven. So has Pat Mahomes. All of which is a reminder that interceptions in practice -- or a lack of them -- isn't something to get hung up about. No interceptions is always better, but not an indication of what to expect in the season. Of course, Broncos fans are excited in part because last season's quarterbacks put the "aw" in "awful" but Fantasy GMs should remain wary. Keenum's quarterback ADP is 25 right now, and that's about where we see him ending up at the end of the year.

Broncos | Case Keenum lauded by coach    Tue Jul 31, 04:54 PM

Denver Broncos QB Case Keenum is better now than he was last year, according to head coach Vance Joseph. Joseph cited Keenum's accuracy, command, smarts and feel for the game as defining qualities.

Footballguys view: Keenum has looked really good in Broncos training camp so far. He has strong chemistry with all of his top targets, but he's especially showing a connection with Emmanuel Sanders. Keenum has hit Sanders on quite a few deep touchdowns over the last few days. We'll see if that connection can continue during the preseason and into the regular season. Keenum is a safe QB2 for Fantasy GMs.

Broncos | Case Keenum the unquestioned starter    Sat Jun 2, 10:08 PM

Denver Broncos QB Case Keenum has been taking all of the first-team reps during OTAs, and offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave said the exclusive work is paying dividends.

Footballguys view: The team is settled entering the 2018 season because 'The Decision' of Paxton Lynch or Trevor Siemian was a huge distraction last year...and it failed miserably. Siemian was traded to the Vikings, while Lynch was told he can compete with Chad Kelly for the no.2 job this year. According to Broncos players, Keenum has already taken charge of the huddle and the team seems to be responding positively. We'll see if they keep up this momentum in training camp and the preseason.

Broncos | Case Keenum agrees to terms with Denver    Wed Mar 14, 07:57 PM

Free-agent QB Case Keenum (Vikings) officially agreed to terms on a two-year deal with the Denver Broncos Wednesday, March 14. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Footballguys view: Keenum will be the team's starter for 2018 and likely 2019 but after that is a bit of a mystery. If Keenum plays well, then no doubt the Broncos would want to keep him after his two-year contract is up. However, there are too many rumblings about the Broncos having interest in a rookie QB with their no5 pick in the first round of the 2018 NFL draft.

Broncos | Case Keenum likely headed to Denver    Tue Mar 13, 02:50 AM

Minnesota Vikings impending free-agent QB Case Keenum intends to sign with the Denver Broncos shortly after the start of the new league year Wednesday, March 14, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Footballguys view: It's a practical move for the Broncos. They were considering Kirk Cousins but in the end they didn't even offer his representation a contract. Word is Keenum's deal is very team friendly. By going with a cheaper option, the Broncos have the room to be more active in free agency.

Bills | BUF may consider Sam Bradford, Case Keenum    Mon Mar 12, 12:06 PM

Minnesota Vikings impending free-agent QBs Sam Bradford and Case Keenum could be options for the Buffalo Bills during free-agency.

Footballguys view: With Tyrod Taylor traded away to the Browns, the Bills only have second-year pro Nate Peterman on the roster at the QB position. They'll be interested in properly-priced free agents and we expect them to select a quarterback in the first round of the 2018 NFL draft.

Broncos | Case Keenum of interest to Broncos    Wed Mar 7, 01:24 PM

Minnesota Vikings impending free-agent QB Case Keenum has drawn interest from the Denver Broncos, according to 9news.com's Mike Klis.

Footballguys view: The Broncos want Kirk Cousins..but they may not be able to outbid the Jets or make a better pitch than the Vikings. In the case that Cousins signs elsewhere, Keenum is likely to be Denver's Plan B. He has familiarity with Gary Kubiak as the former Texans head coach (and current Broncos executive) gave Keenum his shot as an undrafted free agent in 2012.

Vikings | Four expected to pursue Case Keenum    Sun Mar 4, 02:43 PM

Minnesota Vikings impending free-agent QB Case Keenum is expected to be pursued by the Vikings, Denver Broncos, Cleveland Browns and Arizona Cardinals in free agency, according to a source.

Footballguys view: The Vikings made it to the NFC Championship last year with Keenum at the helm. They may be the favorites to land Kirk Cousins, and that would leave Keenum looking for work elsewhere. The Broncos might be the favorites for Keenum if they don't land Cousins.

Updating an ongoing story, Minnesota Vikings general manager Rick Spielman would not rule out placing the franchise tag on impending free-agent QB Case Keenum. 'There's been no decisions made, unlike what's been reported,' he said Wednesday, Feb. 28, at the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine.

Vikings | Case Keenum unlikely to be tagged    Mon Feb 26, 01:26 PM

Updating an ongoing story, Minnesota Vikings impending free-agent QB Case Keenum is unlikely to receive the franchise tag and is expected to hit the open market, according to sources.

Footballguys view: Message! The Vikings are expected to look for a new starting quarterback for 2018. That quarterback could easily be Kirk Cousins. With the Vikings entering the frenzy for Cousins, other teams are likely to get beat out for his services. The Vikings have plenty of cap space, a complete team all around and just seem to be a quarterback away from a Super Bowl run.

Vikings | Mike Zimmer not sold on Case Keenum?    Tue Jan 23, 03:19 PM

Minnesota Vikings impending free-agent QB Case Keenum's future with the Vikings is in limbo. Head coach Mike Zimmer said the Vikings will go through the process of determining who their starting quarterback will be next season. Keenum and fellow QBs Teddy Bridgewater and Sam Bradford are all in the running.

Footballguys view: Reports before the NFC Championship Game indicated the Vikings were going to franchise tag Keenum and also try to keep Bridgewater around. Now, after losing in that game, things don't seem as certain for Keenum...even Peter King is speculating that Keenum will be the Broncos starter in Week 1 of the 2018 season. Stay tuned, as Keenum would have a strong price tag if available in this quarterback desperate league.

Vikings | Case Keenum unsure of team's interest    Mon Jan 22, 01:53 PM

Minnesota Vikings impending free-agent QB Case Keenum said he has not received any indication from the Vikings on if they want to re-sign him this offseason.

Footballguys view: The word before the NFC Championship Game was that the Vikings were going to franchise tag Keenum and try to keep Teddy Bridgewater as well. Both are set to be unrestricted free agents (so is Sam Bradford) at this time. With Pat Shurmur moving on to be the head coach of the Giants, it would be interesting to see if he wanted to take Keenum with him.

Vikings | Pat Shurmur, Case Keenum could join forces again    Sun Jan 7, 09:33 AM

If Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur gets hired as a head coach by a club in desperate need of a quarterback, QB Case Keenum could join the same team, according to multiple league sources. Keenum will be a free agent at the end of the season.

Footballguys view: The Vikings have three QBs set to hit free agency in 2018; Keenum, Teddy Bridgewater and Sam Bradford. Keenum has burst onto the scene this year as the Vikings starter, and he may be the preferred player for the Vikings to bring back. No matter what happens with the QBs in Minnesota it does seem like Shurmur is going to get a chance as a head coach in 2018.

Vikings | Week 17 game recap for Vikings    Sun Dec 31, 04:49 PM

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum completed 21-of-29 pass attempts for 189 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in the Week 17 game against the Chicago Bears. RB Latavius Murray galloped for 111 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries, while RB Jerick McKinnon rushed 12 times for 44 yards. WR Stefon Diggs was the top receiver with 65 yards and a touchdown on six grabs, while WR Adam Thielen posted six receptions for 61 yards on seven targets. TE David Morgan was good for three receptions and 35 yards, with WR Laquon Treadwell adding three catches and 16 yards.

Footballguys view: Murray delivered on the offseason investment that seemed superfluous after the Vikings drafted Dalvin Cook and he'll be a cornerstone in the playoffs. The Vikings passing game has cooled off in December.

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum completed 14 of his 25 passes for 139 yards and a touchdown in a 16-0 win over the Green Bay Packers in Week 16.

Footballguys view: Keenum ended up being a Week 16 dud in the frigid cold. The Vikings defense ruled this one, and the team had the luxury of settling for short field goals instead of pushing for points in a more competitive game. Keenum has still been an excellent real and fantasy quarterback and should start somewhere next year, but only after a large payment in free agency.

Vikings | Case Keenum has solid performance    Sun Dec 17, 04:37 PM

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum went 20-for-33 for 236 yards and two touchdowns against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 15.

Footballguys view: Keenum has been consistent as the rudder of the offense and he has settled in as an everyweek fantasy QB1. He's going to be hard to bench against the Packers next week unless you have an elite option.

Vikings | Case Keenum tosses pair of TDs    Sun Dec 10, 05:17 PM

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum completed 27 of his 44 pass attempts for 280 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in the Week 14 game against the Carolina Panthers.

Footballguys view: Keenum was off on a few key throws, but he was the reason the Vikings had a chance in this one with the running game stalled out and the defense giving up some big plays. He shouldn't be demoted and should remain in our QB1 ranks against the Bengals at home next week.

Vikings | Two touchdowns for Case Keenum     Sun Dec 3, 04:03 PM

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum went 25-for-30 for 227 yards and two touchdowns against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 13.

Footballguys view: Keenum was efficient and safe with the ball and made the plays he needed to for the Vikings to triumph on the road. This felt like closer to his floor than his ceiling with Stefon Diggs quiet and the Falcons secondary weakened, but Keenum has established himself as a QB1 for the stretch run nonetheless and certainly next week at Carolina.

Vikings | Case Keenum named Week 13 starter    Fri Nov 24, 12:24 PM

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum will remain the starting quarterback in Week 13 versus the Atlanta Falcons, according to head coach Mike Zimmer.

Footballguys view: There's no need for the team to go away from Keenum. He's playing at a high level and the team is winning. In fact, the Vikings have the look of a team that can make a deep postseason run after the regular season. Teddy Bridgewater remains the backup.

Vikings | Case Keenum carves up Detroit     Thu Nov 23, 04:22 PM

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum totaled 302 yards and three touchdowns in a Thanksgiving win versus the Detroit Lions Thursday, Nov. 23.

Vikings | Case Keenum to draw another start    Tue Nov 21, 01:03 PM

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum was confirmed as the starting quarterback for the team's Week 12 Thanksgiving Day game against the Detroit Lions.

Footballguys view: Keenum played well in a big game against the Rams on Sunday, and he deserves to remain as the starting quarterback. Teddy Bridgewater will continue to serve as Keenum's backup. Fantasy owners should consider Keenum a streaming option in Week 12.

Vikings | Case Keenum tosses for 280 yards, TD    Sun Nov 19, 06:40 PM

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum completed 27 of his 38 pass attempts for 280 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in the Week 11 game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Footballguys view: Keenum responded well against an above average pass defense coming off of a week punctuated with talk of a possible quarterback change looming. The Vikings have won six straight with him at the helm. He's a solid 2QB/Superflex option against Detroit on Thanksgiving.

Vikings | Minnesota tempted to start Teddy Bridgewater    Wed Nov 15, 02:38 PM

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater was reportedly very close to overtaking Case Keenum for the starting job in large part because the Vikings view Bridgewater as 'their franchise,' according to Fox Sports' Jay Glazer.

Footballguys view: Now that Bridgewater is healthy enough to play, Keenum has to be on a short leash with the Vikings. They've been winning with Keenum, but he's also thrown some interceptions along the way. So long as they keep winning, Bridgewater is likely staying as a reserve but any sort of slip and we could see him at the top of the depth chart.

Vikings | Case Keenum will remain starter    Mon Nov 13, 04:20 PM

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum will continue to start despite QB Teddy Bridgewater being available to return.

Footballguys view: Keenum threw four touchdowns on Sunday...but he also threw two interceptions. So long as the Vikings are winning, we don't see them being quick to pull Keenum. In deep leagues that start two QBs (or flex QBs), then hold onto Bridgewater in case he gets his shot.
