Footballguys view: The RB workouts might just be for their speed dial acquisition files, but it does raise an eyebrow if you are a Darren McFadden owner. |

Titans | Undrafted Blount ahead of undrafted Johnson Sun Jun 13, 10:15 PM
ProFootballWeekly.com reports Titans rookie RB LeGarrette Blount is ahead of fellow undrafted free agent Stafon Johnson in the competition to make the roster, a source close to the club suggests. Javon Ringer will be the top backup to Chris Johnson, but the depth chart beyond Johnson and Ringer is still in flux.
Footballguys view: Stafon Johnson seems destined to be a practice squad player. LeGarrette Blount is a hard charging runner who makes his living running between the tackles. He's not much of a receiver out of the backfield, but could get a few carries on short yardage and goalline situations. |

Bills | WR Easley could be a sleeper Wed May 12, 04:57 PM
Cecil Lammey, from Footballguys.com, reports Buffalo Bills rookie wide receiver Marcus Easley could be a sleeper opposite Lee Evans.
Footballguys view: Lammey watched Easley up close during the week of practice for the Texas vs The Nation Game in El Paso earlier this year and came away impressed. He's a big target who knows how to high point passes, and has great straight line speed. With James Hardy and Stevie Johnson his only competition for a starting job it wouldn't surprise us to see the rookie get the job sometime during his first season. The Bills need more playmakers on offense, and should be playing from behind a lot. Rookie wide receivers rarely contribute much in their first year, but Easley has the talent and proper situation to do so if he can impress in training camp. |
