Cowboys | Dwayne Harris competing for a spot    Sat Jul 30, 03:51 PM

Dallas Cowboys rookie WR Dwayne Harris is competing with WRs Kevin Ogletree, Manuel Johnson, Teddy Williams and Jesse Holley for playing time as the team's fourth or fifth receiver.

Footballguys view: We really like the skill set of rookie WR Dwayne Harris. He has a strong lower body and can change direction on a dime. Harris doesn't lose much speed when he makes a cut and has great moves in the open field.

Cowboys | Will add Manuel Johnson to roster    Tue Dec 14, 05:31 PM

The Dallas Cowboys will add WR Manuel Johnson to their active roster prior to their Week 15 game, reports David Moore, of The Dallas Morning News.

Footballguys view: With Kevin Ogletree lost for the season the Cowboys needed to add another wideout. Manny Johnson is a good route runner and knows how to set up defensive backs before he makes his break. We're not expecting much from the former Sooners receiver unless more injuries happen in front of him on the depth chart.

Cowboys | M. Johnson, Mickens in danger of being cut    Thu Sep 3, 06:48 PM

Clarence E. Hill Jr., of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, reports Dallas Cowboys WR Manuel Johnson and CB Mike Mickens are in danger of being released from the team.

Footballguys view: Johnson was one of Sam Bradford's many weapons at Oklahoma before the Cowboys took him in the seventh round. He looked like a raw route runner to us at the Shrine Game and Senior Bowl, but he is quick with decent speed. He should be at least a practice squad candidate even if the Cowboys cut him.
