The Carolina Panthers signed WR Brenton Bersin, QB Matt Blanchard, LB Ben Jacobs, OG Michael Jasper, TE D.C. Jefferson, OT Andrew McDonald, CB De'Andre Presley and DE Craig Roh to futures contracts Tuesday, Jan. 14. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.
Footballguys view: The player fantasy owners in super deep dynasty leagues need to monitor is Jefferson. He's huge, has a large wingspan and he can make difficult catches in coverage. Jefferson is raw, but the upside is there if he can develop his raw skill set. |

Panthers | Make practice squad moves Wed Jan 1, 01:14 PM
The Carolina Panthers have signed TE D.C. Jefferson to their practice squad and waived RB Armond Smith from their practice squad.
Footballguys view: Jefferson is a huge tight end, and the rookie was known for being a good target over the middle of the field in college at Rutgers. He's developing as a blocker, and Jefferson is an intriguing prospect to keep an eye on in super deep dynasty leagues. |

Cardinals | Six probable Fri Sep 6, 04:52 PM
Arizona Cardinals CB Javier Arenas (hip), RB Andre Ellington (hamstring), TE D.C. Jefferson (knee), C Mike Leach (hamstring), WR Andre Roberts (quadriceps) and DT Dan Williams (ankle) are probable for Week 1. Roberts was limited in practice Friday, Sept. 6, while the others practiced in full.
Footballguys view: Roberts had gotten downgraded to limited participation earlier in the week, but his probable designation means that he's likely to play, which is a hit to Michael Floyd's prospects. |

Cardinals | Several players will undergo MRIs Sun Aug 25, 11:13 AM
Arizona Cardinals WR Andre Roberts (quadriceps), TE D.C. Jefferson (knee), DT Dan Williams (ankle) and LB Matt Shaughnessy (ankle) are scheduled to undergo MRIs on injuries the suffered during the team's preseason game Saturday, Aug. 25.
Footballguys view: The Cardinals are the walking wounded right now, and they didn't have that much depth to begin with. Roberts had been building momentum as a possession receiver in the Bruce Arians offense, but this injury will slow that momentum. He's just a very late-round flier in PPR drafts. |

Cardinals | Rob Housler likely to be used frequently Wed Jun 19, 09:54 PM
Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians likes the pass-catching ability of TE Rob Housler, and his time on the field is likely to be dictated on how much his pass-blocking has improved.
Footballguys view: Housler is an athletic move TE who creates mismatches when he's on the field. With the way that Carson Palmer peppered Brandon Myers with the Raiders last season it could inflate Housler's numbers this year. TEs Jeff King, Jim Dray and D.C. Jefferson are behind him on the depth chart. |

Cardinals | Four draft picks signed Fri May 10, 01:41 PM
The Arizona Cardinals have signed fifth-round draft choice RB Stepfan Taylor, sixth-round draft choices WR Ryan Swope and RB Andre Ellington, and seventh-round draft choice TE D.C. Jefferson to four-year deals. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Footballguys view: We love the upside of all these players. Taylor is a good all purpose running back who could be an effective starter if he gets the chance. Durability (concussion) concerns caused Swope to fall in the draft but if healthy he can play 'X' receiver or in the slot. Swope has a Wes Welker-like skill set. Ellington is a speed back who could be a nice change of pace player. Jefferson is known as a strong blocker but proved at the Shrine Game that he's developing as a good receiver too. |
