New York Giants LB Spencer Paysinger, who is in the mix for a starting linebacker job, posted a team-high five tackles in the preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers Saturday, Aug. 10, to help his cause. DE Adewale Ojomo has turned heads in training camp, and he posted 1.5 sacks in second half action. CB Charles James and DE Justin Trattou also helped their cause for a roster spot with one sack apiece.

The New York Giants have signed undrafted free-agent TE Chase Clement (Louisiana State), WR Marcus Davis (Virginia Tech), LB Charles Dieuseul (Mount Union), DB Charles James (Charleston Southern), LB Etienne Sabino (Ohio State), S Alonzo Tweedy (Virginia Tech) and RB Jeremy Wright (Louisville). Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.
| Footballguys view: Davis is the player to watch here, especially in deep dynasty leagues. He's got a tremendous size/speed combination and has the strength to win contested passes. Davis needs to work on his route running and get dialed in when on the field. Too often he would run the wrong route and wasn't on the same page as his QB. With the success of Victor Cruz as an UDFA we like the potential of Davis. |
