NFL | Josh Huff headed to AAF    Fri Feb 8, 09:37 PM

Free-agent WR Josh Huff (Saints) has signed with the Arizona Hotshots of the Alliance of American Football.

Footballguys view: Coming out of Oregon, Huff was a third-round pick for the Eagles in the 2014 NFL draft. He failed to make an impact and has bounced around the league ever since. Huff was released by the Saints in late August of last year and spent the 2018 regular season out of football.

Saints | Josh Huff suspended two games    Tue Mar 20, 12:16 AM

New Orleans Saints WR Josh Huff has been suspended the first two games of next season without pay for violating the league's substance abuse policy and personal conduct policy. This stems from his 2016 arrest while he was with the Philadelphia Eagles on charges of DUI, possession of marijuana and possession of an undisclosed handgun without a permit. He will be able to participate in all offseason practices and preseason games.

Saints | Josh Huff joins Saints    Fri Jan 26, 05:58 PM

The New Orleans Saints signed WR Josh Huff to a Reserve/Future contract Friday, Jan. 26, according to a source. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Footballguys view: This could put him on the radar in very deep dynasty leagues because Willie Snead had a disappointing 2017 and the Saints are only reliable two deep on the wide receiver depth chart.

Eagles | Special teams might save Josh Huff    Thu Aug 18, 12:47 AM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Josh Huff is entering his third year with the team, and the clock is ticking on his usefulness as a receiver. His competency in the kick return game might be the only reason he remains on the final roster.

Footballguys view: We agree that his spot is precarious at best. He shouldn't be a roster consideration for Fantasy GMs though, as he has Jordan Matthews, Nelson Algholor and now Dorial Green-Beckham to contend with.If Wendall Smallwood can return kicks as well as Huff, expect the receiver to be packing his bags by Week 1.

Eagles | Sam Bradford working out with teammates    Wed Jul 6, 06:30 PM

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford is working out with several of his teammates in San Diego leading up to training camp. QBs Chase Daniel and Carson Wentz, RB Darren Sproles, WR Jordan Matthews, Josh Huff, T.J. Graham and Rueben Randle and TE Zach Ertz are among the players participating in the workouts.

Footballguys view: Bradford is doing what he can to build chemistry in this new offense with this group. We're not overly excited by the Doug Pederson offense in Philadelphia, so Bradford should only be considered a QB3 for fantasy owners. He set to be the starter this year as rookie first-round pick Carson Wentz is likely to get a year of development in 2016. However, if Bradford struggles (not a stretch) then we could see the team turn to the rookie sooner than originally planned.

Eagles | Rueben Randle in lead for WR3    Tue Jun 14, 08:46 AM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Rueben Randle is in the early lead for the Eagles' third receiver spot over WR Chris Givens and WR Josh Huff.

Footballguys view: It's not an exciting offense to be the third option in. The Pederson offense should feed one WR and one TE enough to be fantasy relevant. Anything outside of that in the Eagles passing game may not be worth rostering in most standard-sized leagues.

Eagles | Chris Givens holding his own    Sun Jun 12, 02:58 PM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Chris Givens has put in a solid offseason so far and could challenge WRs Josh Huff, Nelson Agholor and Rueben Randle for playing time, according to CSNPhilly's Dave Zangaro. Givens is known for his deep-threat ability, but Zangaro said Givens has also impressed with his underneath routes so far.

Footballguys view: Other than Jordan Matthews, we're not crazy about the Eagles WRs...and it's not like we expect Matthews to burn up the charts. Right now, Matthews has a current ADP of WR25 (5.04) in 12-team PPR leagues. We'll be monitoring Givens vs Huff vs Randle as training camp rolls on later this year.

Eagles | Josh Huff drops the ball    Fri Jun 10, 11:26 AM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Josh Huff was listed as one of the disappointments in organized team activities by PhillyVoice.com due to an exorbitant amount of drops.

Footballguys view: Nobody should be surprised by this. Huff was a Chip Kelly favorite (and he played at Oregon, shocking right?) but he's no lock to make the final roster with the Eagles this year. He'll have to cut down on the drops in training camp and the preseason if he wants to make the team.

Eagles | Josh Huff to play inside    Wed Jun 8, 03:11 PM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Josh Huff is expected to play on the inside of formations, according to head coach Doug Pederson.

Footballguys view: It doesn't matter where Huff plays, really. As a former Oregon player, Huff was a favorite of former head coach Chip Kelly. Now that Peterson has taken over, we don't see any fantasy value for Huff as the Eagles WR4 (at best) on the depth chart.

Eagles | Josh Huff expected to go    Tue Dec 1, 11:28 AM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Josh Huff (concussion) is expected to practice this week and should be able to play in Week 13 against the New England Patriots.

Eagles | Josh Huff questionable to return    Sun Oct 11, 03:39 PM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Josh Huff (undisclosed) left Week 5's game against the New Orleans Saints with an undisclosed injury and is questionable to return.

The Philadelphia Eagles have declared DL Cedric Thornton, RB DeMarco Murray, WR Josh Huff, LB Kiko Alonso, LB Mychal Kendricks, DE Taylor Hart, QB Thaddeus Lewis inactive for Week 3.

Eagles | Josh Huff working with starters    Wed Aug 5, 10:13 AM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Josh Huff has been working with the starting unit with WR Riley Cooper opposite of him. WR Nelson Agholor could eventually take snaps away from Huff and/or Cooper eventually, in the opinion of beat writer Jeff McLane.

Footballguys view: Huff knows the Oregon offense since he played college ball there, and this gives him a leg up in the competition. We like Agholor's upside, and he could eventually replace Cooper on the outside. Huff is more dynamic than Cooper, and he could be involved in this offense more than some think.

Eagles | Josh Huff having good offseason    Tue Jul 7, 03:49 PM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Josh Huff performed well during organized team activities and minicamp this offseason.

Footballguys view: Huff is in the mix with Miles Austin to steal snaps from Riley Cooper on the outside and help first-round pick Nelson Agholor replace the snaps and targets vacated by Jeremy Maclin. Huff can line up in the slot and backfield, too, so he could contribute enough to matter in fantasy leagues if he becomes one of the primary outside receivers. He was coached by Chip Kelly at Oregon, so keep Huff on your waiver wire speed dial if he doesn't generate a ton of hype during the preseason.

Eagles | Josh Huff showing flashes in minicamp    Thu Jun 18, 09:28 PM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Josh Huff has shown flashes of improvements in his route running and his downfield catching ability, this spring, but consistency remains an issue. Huff has already been outplayed by rookie Nelson Agholor, who is his biggest threat for playing time in 2015. 'I'm a competitor, but I don't really pay attention to that,' Huff said. 'They brought him in because he does things really well, and I do things really well, Jordan [does] things really well, Coop [does] things really well. Whatever can help our team get over that hump, then I'm all for it. But I'm going to do everything I can to better my technique,' said Huff.

Footballguys view: Huff is a player who gets by on moxie and determination. Agholor is a player with a refined skill set and the natural ability to be one of the best in the game at his position. That difference has already been made clear in minicamp and OTAs. We're excited about Agholor's upside this season, and Huff isn't likely to be much of a fantasy factor in 2015 unless someone gets hurt above him on the depth chart.

Eagles | Jordan Matthews to have bigger role    Fri Apr 3, 01:52 PM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Jordan Matthews said the team won't really have a designated No. 1 receiver in place to replace the production that will be lost with WR Jeremy Maclin signing with the Kansas City Chiefs. 'People ask me about being the No. 1 wide receiver; Forget it,' Matthews said. 'I want us to be a receiving corps. That's what I want it to be.' Matthews was the team's second leading receiver in 2014 with 67 catches for 872 yards and eight touchdowns as the slot receiver. Matthews is likely to play more in 2015 and on the outside.

Footballguys view: Head coach Chip Kelly said he sees Matthews playing 'a lot of different spots.' Kelly is confident in Matthews and WR Josh Huff, and TE Zach Ertz and RB Darren Sproles could be used more in the passing game.
