Footballguys view: Carey is unlikely to play Sunday night, leaving rookie Jordan Howard as the #2 back behind Jeremy Langford. If Howard can look better than Langford for the second straight week, he could push Langford for the starting job.

Footballguys view: More bad news for the Bears here. Houston is a fine pass-rusher when healthy, but now he's torn both his left and right ACLs in only a couple of years. Entering his age 30 season in 2017, Houston may not be back with the Bears -- especially with his $6.9 million cap number.

He had played in 72 straight games, but now will begin the long process of coming back from this knee injury at age 27. Footballguys view: Houston is the most exciting piece of this defensive line, though if Allen continues to play at the level he has the last few years, this front four is frightening.

Oakland Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie is hoping to retain OT Jared Veldheer, DE Lamarr Houston, FS Charles Woodson and RB Rashad Jennings as they approach free agency this offseason. McKenzie said he thinks RB Darren McFadden will test the free-agent market.

Footballguys view: Veldheer will be the top priority here. When healthy, he's one of the best young left tackles in the league today. Jennings may be the second priority. He did a good job starting for the team while McFadden was out.

Oakland Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie said the team would like to avoid using the franchise tag on impending free-agent OT Jared Veldheer or DE Lamarr Houston.

Footballguys view: More than likely they want to lock people up to long term deals, if they want them around at all. If that's the case, it's good that they are looking long term not just short term.

Footballguys view: Roach is a good late round sleeper LB in IDP leagues because he could play a high tackle position in a defense that will be on the field a lot. We'll be monitoring this for IDP leagues.
