Raiders | Jeremy Hill let go Wed Aug 5, 03:08 PM
Las Vegas Raiders RB Jeremy Hill was released Wednesday, Aug. 5.
Footballguys view: Well that didn't last long. Hill has been out of the league for two years but somehow found a deal with the Raiders last week. Now, he's back on the open market and will struggle to find another deal. |

Raiders | Jeremy Hill joins Raiders Sun Aug 2, 02:36 PM
Free-agent RB Jeremy Hill (Patriots) signed with the Las Vegas Raiders Sunday, Aug. 2. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Footballguys view: It's officially official now. Hill has not seen an NFL field for almost two years and is not a lock for the 53-man roster. He's a power back with little nuance to his running style. Hill can also be a capable pass-catcher out of the backfield. He's competing for a reserve spot behind starter Josh Jacobs. |

Raiders | Jeremy Hill expected to join LV Fri Jul 31, 07:29 PM
Updating a previous report, free-agent RB Jeremy Hill (Patriots) is expected to sign with the Las Vegas Raiders as long as he passes his physical and tests negative for COVID-19, according to a source.
Footballguys view: Hill hasn't been on the field for a regular season game since 2018. He's a classic power back who gives the team more veteran depth. Josh Jacobs is the starter and we'll see guys like Jalen Richard, rookie Lynn Bowden and veteran Devontae Booker compete for snaps (along with Hill) and a pass-catching role. |

NFL | Jeremy Hill making progress Wed Jul 10, 08:38 PM
Free-agent RB Jeremy Hill (knee) is working his way back from a torn anterior cruciate ligament and expects to join a team once he is medically cleared to play.
Footballguys view: Hill played in one game last year for the Patriots before suffering this knee injury. He might have some interest out there if he can pass a physical. Hill has spent over 10 months in recovery, so he could be close to 100 percent in the near future. |

Patriots | Jeremy Hill goes to IR Mon Sep 10, 05:53 PM
New England Patriots RB Jeremy Hill (knee) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Monday, Sept. 10, according to a source. WRs Chad Hansen and Riley McCarron were waived.
Footballguys view: Hill's season is done just as it was getting started for the Patriots. The team will now move on with Rex Burkhead, Sony Michel and James White in the backfield. Hill was the team's power back, but some of those touches can go to Michel. The rookie first-round pick from Georgia was inactive for Week 1 against the Texans. He's close to returning and might push for the most touches in the backfield because of his all-purpose skill set. |

Patriots | Jeremy Hill suffers torn ACL Mon Sep 10, 03:32 PM
New England Patriots RB Jeremy Hill (knee) was diagnosed with a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the 2018 season.
Footballguys view: Hill was making plays for the Patriots in a limited role on offense and on special teams. Without him, Rex Burkhead remains as the top back for now. Rookie Sony Michel was inactive against the Texans in Week 1 but he's close to returning from the knee injury that limited him in practice. When Michel returns, the rookie should push Burkhead for that top spot on the depth chart. James White continues as a receiving threat out of the backfield. |

Patriots | Jeremy Hill will not return Sun Sep 9, 03:15 PM
New England Patriots RB Jeremy Hill (knee) suffered a knee injury during the Week 1 game and will not return.
Footballguys view: It didn't look as Hill's leg buckled while he was being tackled. The Patriots have UDFA Ralph Webb on the practice squad and he could get a call-up before next week's game against the Patriots. |

Patriots | Jeremy Hill top RB Sunday Sun Aug 12, 06:48 PM
New England Patriots RB Jeremy Hill served as the top running back during practice Sunday, Aug. 12, with RBs Rex Burkhead (undisclosed) and Sony Michel (knee) sidelined.
Footballguys view: Hill is becoming a possible late-round sleeper now that he's running ahead of Mike Gillislee and two of the Patriots top three backs are hurt. Hill has also been contributing on special teams and appears to be in line for a roster spot. |

Patriots | Jeremy Hill strengthens roster bid Fri Aug 10, 02:17 AM
New England Patriots RB Jeremy Hill carried 11 times for 51 yards and a touchdown on Thursday, Aug. 9, against the Washington Redskins. Hill added two receptions for 14 yards.
Footballguys view: Hill contributed on special teams, which should help his chances to make the team. He could have the Mike Gillislee 2017 role if he beats out Gillislee and Sony Michel isn't ready for Week 1 against Houston. Put him on your late round flier list. |

Patriots | Jeremy Hill in position to make team Fri Aug 3, 10:59 AM
New England Patriots RB Jeremy Hill is more likely to make the team as the final running back over RB Mike Gillislee (undisclosed) due to durability concerns, according to NESN's Doug Kyed.
Footballguys view: Gillislee also failed last year in the role that he's trying to win. Sony Michel, James White, and Rex Burkhead's value would be better off if neither makes the team. If Hill does make the team, he'll have matchup value in deep leagues, assuming he gets the majority of the goal line carries - which was a strength of his game in Cincinnati. |

Patriots | Jeremy Hill finally healthy Thu May 3, 11:44 PM
New England Patriots RB Jeremy Hill said he is finally feeling like himself again after having ankle surgery last season. 'I really didn't have the flexibility and the strength in it that I needed to be the back that I wanted to be,' Hill said. 'I'm glad that I got it done and I can get it back to 100 percent and be the back I know I can be.'
Footballguys view: It's been quite some time since Hill was a 1,000-yard rusher (rookie season in 2014) and an effective back in the pros. He's struggled to gain much positive yardage on a per-carry basis over the last three years, and in 2017 Hill only had 37 carries even though he started seven games before getting hurt. The Patriots use a RBBC and Hill could be the red-zone option for them...and that does have a bit of fantasy value. We'll see how this committee shakes out during camp. |

Patriots | Several RB battling for one spot? Fri Apr 27, 11:20 PM
New England Patriots RBs Brandon Bolden, Mike Gillislee and Jeremy Hill might be competing for one spot with the chance one gets cut even before training camp.
Footballguys view: It's going to depend on how rookie Sony Michel looks. Neither Bolden nor Gillislee did anything last season and Hill is coming off an injury plagued year. There's a lot of potential but any or all three could be packing it in come September. |

Patriots | Jeremy Hill making an impression Fri Apr 27, 11:10 PM
New England Patriots RB Jeremy Hill has been making a positive impressive during the team's voluntary offseason program with his work and kindness.

Patriots | Jeremy Hill must earn salary Sun Mar 18, 09:27 PM
New England Patriots RB Jeremy Hill's contract is for one year and $1.5 million with only his $150,000 signing bonus guaranteed.
Footballguys view: It's going to be difficult for Hill to get many snaps in the RBBC the Patriots will employ in 2018. He hasn't been overly productive since his rookie season in 2014. There's a chance Hill could be a goal-line back for the Patriots which would obviously improve his fantasy value. |

Free-agent RB Jeremy Hill (Bengals) is scheduled to meet with the New England Patriots Friday, March 16, according to a source.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill plans to test market Wed Jan 31, 05:09 PM
Cincinnati Bengals impending free-agent RB Jeremy Hill has indicated that he plans to test the free-agent market this offseason.
Footballguys view: Hill is going to be a "big back" in a committee at best, and he might have to wait to be signed. This year's class has terrific power backs, and Hill probably will end up being a second wave free agent. |

Bengals | Jeremy Hill likely gone Fri Jan 19, 11:51 AM
Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill is likely to leave via free agency, in the opinion of beat writers Jim Owczarski and Paul Dehner Jr.
Footballguys view: Hill underwent ankle surgery last November, ending his 2017 season. He'll be healthy for the offseason as he searches for a new team. Hill is not a feature back, but he could work as a power back for a team in need of help near the goal line. |

Bengals | Jeremy Hill placed on IR Sat Nov 11, 12:52 PM
Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Nov. 11.

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill (ankle) did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 10, and has been ruled out for Week 10.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill misses practice again Thu Nov 9, 06:48 PM

Bengals | Jeremy Hill a no-go to begin the week Wed Nov 8, 02:31 PM
Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill (ankle) did not take part in practice Wednesday, Nov. 8.
Footballguys view: The Bengals need to stop messing around with any sort of RBBC and just see what rookie RB Joe Mixon can do with a true featured role. With Hill banged up (and with no reason to rush him back), we may just see Mixon continue to get more snaps each week. |

Bengals | Jeremy Hill fully practices again Thu Sep 7, 03:28 PM
Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill (ankle) participated fully in practice Thursday, Sept. 7.
Footballguys view: It's a good sign for Hill's projection for Sunday against the Ravens. He's atop the team's depth chart but will be working in a complicated RBBC with Gio Bernard and rookie Joe Mixon. This is a bit of a mess for fantasy owners until someone emerges. It's best to consider Hill as a RB3/flex option in Week 1. |

Bengals | Jeremy Hill goes through full practice Wed Sep 6, 04:47 PM
Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill (ankle) was able to take part in a full practice session on Wednesday, Sept. 6.
Footballguys view: Hill is listed atop the depth chart for the Bengals but this ankle injury could negatively impact his performance in Week 1. Watch to see how rookie RB Joe Mixon plays as he's the most talented back on the roster and should emerge as a starting option at some point this year. |

Bengals | Jeremy Hill still listed as starter Tue Sep 5, 02:30 PM
Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill is listed as the No. 1 running back on the Bengals' official depth chart.
Footballguys view: Hill is the starter, but we could see rookie Joe Mixon get most of the work against the Ravens in Week 1. This situation will have to shake itself out as the regular season wears on. Don't forget that Gio Bernard will get mixed in as a change-of-pace back too. |

Bengals | Jeremy Hill injures ankle Sun Aug 27, 05:56 PM
Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill (ankle) suffered an ankle injury during the preseason game Sunday, Aug. 27, and will not return.
Footballguys view: This could open the door for Joe Mixon against Baltimore Week 1, but it could also be minor and reflecting the Bengals taking precautions with their starters. Mixon did fumble later in the game, so it appears he doesn't have the complete trust of the coaches yet. |

Bengals | Jeremy Hill to start all season? Thu Aug 10, 01:34 PM
Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill will start all season unless he's injured or 'absolutely terrible,' in the opinion of The Cincinnati Enquirer's Jim Owczarski. Hill was listed as the starting running back on the Bengals' initial depth chart.
Footballguys view: His yardage total has gone up and down over the last few years, and the last two have seen sub-1,000 yard efforts on the ground, with his combined yards inching past the mark last season by 13 yards. At least his touchdown totals are hovering between nine and eleven. Current ADP is 48th running back off the board, with an overall ADP of 145. Meanwhile, rookie Joe Mixon is trending at an overall ADP of 45, and getting drafted as the 18th back off the board. It sounds like, as of now, Hill could be a huge value but it means embracing him against most rankings and early drafts and letting Mixon go, as he is way too early. The best bet, if you want to invest in the Cincinnati backfield, is likely to grab Mixon at too high a value and then grab Hill, that way you cover both sides. Understand also, that this all may shift over the next few week. So embracing that counter-narrative of Hill-not-Mixon and not having both players means you risk getting shafted if Mixon ends up in charge and you don't have him. |
