Chiefs | Mark Harrison signs    Fri Jun 20, 10:57 AM

The Kansas City Chiefs signed free-agent WR Mark Harrison (Patriots) to an undisclosed deal.

Footballguys view: Hey! Finally the Chiefs get some help at the wide receiver position. Harrison is a big target who can fly down the field and track the ball over his shoulder. He also has the size (6'3" 230 pounds) to be a force in the red zone. If healthy and motivated he could make the team and possibly contribute in 2014. Fantasy owners in dynasty leagues need to monitor this closely.

NFL | Mark Harrison to work out for a team    Sun Jun 8, 08:11 PM

Free-agent WR Mark Harrison (Patriots) is scheduled to work out for an undisclosed team this week.

Footballguys view: Well that's real specific. Harrison has an intriguing size/speed combination, and he should get a few teams interested in adding him if healthy.

Patriots | Mark Harrison late to OTAs    Wed Jun 4, 09:17 PM

Patriots | James Anderson signed, Mark Harrison released    Wed Jun 4, 07:42 PM

The New England Patriots signed free-agent LB James Anderson (Bears) to an undisclosed deal Wednesday, June 4, and released WR Mark Harrison in a corresponding move. Anderson led the Chicago Bears in tackles last year with 102, but he projects to serve a reserve role for the Pats.

Footballguys view: Harrison was a favorite by some fantasy owners in super deep dynasty leagues. He may draw some interest on the open market because of his size/speed combination (when healthy).

Patriots | Mark Harrison could be used at TE    Mon Mar 31, 05:31 PM

The New England Patriots could consider moving WR Mark Harrison to tight end this offseason.

Footballguys view: Harrison has the size to make the transition. He does a good job of hauling in contested passes, and Harrison knows how to use his size to box out smaller defenders.

Patriots | Two players not on practice clock yet    Thu Oct 31, 02:46 AM

New England Patriots DL Armond Armstead (non-football illness, infection) and WR Mark Harrison (non-football injury, broken foot) have not begun practicing yet. A new rule implemented this season has extended the deadline for their return to Week 11, when the Patriots must decide to start the clock on their seasons or keep them on their respective NFL lists.

Patriots | Two will start season on NFI list    Mon Aug 26, 01:17 PM

New England Patriots WR Mark Harrison (foot) and DE Armond Armstead (undisclosed) will start the season on the Non-Football Injury list.

Footballguys view: Harrison is an intriguing prospect to monitor in super deep dynasty leagues. He went undrafted and was already cut from the Bears earlier this year. Harrison has good size and can wrestle the ball away from smaller defensive backs. He struggles to get cleanly out of his break and thus will usually have to catch contested passes. Harrison has always had potential but has yet to truly play up to that level yet.

Patriots | Three land on NFI list    Tue Jul 23, 12:36 AM

The New England Patriots placed WR Mark Harrison (foot), SS Kanorris Davis (undisclosed) and C Matt Stankiewitch (undisclosed) on the non-football injury list Monday, July 22.

Footballguys view: Harrison is the player to watch here in super deep dynasty leagues. He's a large receiver with a huge wingspan and he regularly plucks passes out of the air at it's highest point. Harrison has good vertical speed but does take a while to get to top speed. He struggles to gain separation consistently and that leads to more contested catches. The Bears picked him up as an undrafted free agent after the 2013 NFL draft. We'll see if he can get healthy and develop his game with the Patriots.

Patriots | Two UDFAs signed    Mon May 20, 05:04 PM

The New England Patriots have signed undrafted free-agent WR Mark Harrison (Rutgers) and PK David Ruffer (Notre Dame). Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Footballguys view: Harrison was with the Bears after the draft but failed a physical due to a foot injury. He has a good size/strength combination and could develop nicely on the Patriots roster. Harrison uses his frame to box defenders out and keep them away from the football. He also has good build up speed and does a good job of tracking deep passes.

Bears | Will not sign Mark Harrison now    Fri May 10, 02:41 PM

The Chicago Bears were going to sign undrafted free-agent WR Mark Harrison (foot) but he failed his physical. The team will consider signing him once he is fully recovered from his foot injury.

Footballguys view: Bad news for Harrison here. He'll have to pass a physical before someone takes a chance on him as a street free agent.

Bears | Mark Harrison recovering    Fri May 10, 09:34 AM

Chicago Bears WR Mark Harrison (foot) will not participate in rookie camp as he recovers from surgery to repair a broken bone in his foot. He's still expected to compete for a spot on the 53-man roster.

Footballguys view: Harrison is an interesting prospect to keep an eye on in super deep dynasty leagues. He's got the size, strength, and 'my ball' mentality to be a solid player at the NFL level. Harrison needs to work on his focus and concentration if he wants to play up to his potential.

Bears | Nine UDFAs signed    Sun Apr 28, 02:22 PM

The Chicago Bears have signed undrafted free-agent RB Michael Ford (Louisiana State), WR Mark Harrison (Rutgers), CB Demontre Hurst (Oklahoma), WR Josh Lenz (Iowa State), C P.J. Lonergan (Louisiana State), WR Marcus Rucker (Memphis), DT Brent Russell (Georgia Southern), P Tress Way (Oklahoma) and CB C.J. Wilson (North Carolina State). Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Footballguys view: Harrison is a physical freak at 6'2" 230 with a sub-4.5 40 and 38.5" vertical. He is very similar to Brandon Marshall, and he has been training with Marshall. Outside of Da'Rick Rogers, no undrafted wide receiver has as much potential as Harrison.

NFL | Trashed hotel room players identified    Thu Apr 18, 05:46 PM

The trashed hotel room at the NFL combine belonged to Clemson WR DeAndre Hopkins and Rutgers WR Mark Harrison.

Footballguys view: We'll see how much this incident hurts the draft stock of these two players. Hopkins is considered a late first- or early second-round pick. Harrison is considered a late-round pick or priority free agent.

NFL | Mark Harrison shows well in vertical leap    Sun Feb 24, 10:41 PM

Rutgers WR Mark Harrison posted a 38 1/2-inch vertical leap at the NFL Scouting Combine Sunday, Feb. 24.

Footballguys view: On paper, Harrison is a faster Brandon Marshall. On the field, he has to eliminate frustrating drops to hit his very high ceiling in the NFL.

NFL | WRs take their shot at 40-yard dash    Sun Feb 24, 08:36 PM

Baylor WR Lanear Sampson and Rutgers WR Mark Harrison posted times of 4.46 seconds in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine Sunday, Feb. 23, landing them just outside the Top 10 at their position. Georgia Tavarres King and Arkansas WR Cobi Hamilton managed a time of 4.47 seconds, Lehigh WR Ryan Spadola checked in at 4.48 seconds, while WR Tyrone Goard had a time of 4.50 seconds. Washington State WR Marquess Wilson, Southern California WR Robert Woods and Florida State WR Rodney Smith had times of 4.51 seconds, while Baylor WR Terrance Williams, West Virginia WR Stedman Bailey and Tennessee Tech's Da'Rick Rogers were clocked at 4.52 seconds.

Footballguys view: At about 6'3" 230, Harrison's time will raise eyebrows. He's a physical specimen, but has been inconsistent catching the ball.
