| Footballguys view: Hakim tried out for the Browns last week at their voluntary minicamp. Undrafted out of Tartleton in 2011, Hakim began his pro career in the UFL with the Las Vegas Locomotives. The Browns are the sixth NFL team he's been on, and Hakim will be hard-pressed to make the roster...even on a WR-needy team like the Browns. |

New York Jets WR Saalim Hakim received extra reps in practice Friday, Aug. 7, after WR Chris Owusu (head) left with an injury. Hakim scored two touchdowns, catching a deep ball over CB Antonio Cromartie on a pass from QB Geno Smith and scoring in a red-zone drill on a pass from QB Ryan Fitzpatrick.
| Footballguys view: Hakim will be on special teams first and foremost but with the injury to rookie Devin Smith, there might be room for more from him. Still, behind Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker (as well as Jeremy Kerley), it's unlikely he has much fantasy impact and shouldn't be someone taking up roster space. |

WR Saalim Hakim (quadriceps), S Jaiquawn Jarrett (shoulder) and DE Muhammad Wilkerson (toe) are questionable, while SS Antonio Allen (hand), OG Willie Colon (knee), C Nick Mangold (finger) and S Calvin Pryor (shoulder) are probable. Miles didn't practice Friday, Dec. 19. Hakim, Jarrett and Wilkerson were limited in practice, while the others practiced in full.

New York Jets RB Alex Green, WR Saalim Hakim and TE Zach Sudfeld could receive more playing time in the last two games of the season because the team wants to evaluate some of their players.

Saints | Younger WRs could get more chances Tue Aug 6, 12:27 AM
New Orleans WRs Saalim Hakim, Preston Parker, Kenny Stills, Andy Tanner and Nick Toon could each see bigger roles following the injury to WR Joe Morgan (knee), who is likely to miss at least a few weeks. However, the team values experience in the top three receiver roles, and it is believed veteran WR Steve Breaston will get a long look as the No. 3 first before any of the younger players.
| Footballguys view: Toon is the player to watch here. If healthy Toon has good size and the wingspan to make plays in the red zone. Toon is not a quick twitch athlete and needs to be a more refined route runner if he wants to play up to his potential. |

Cowboys | Several UDFAs to receive guaranteed money Wed Jun 20, 12:21 PM
Dallas Cowboys WRs Tim Benford and Saalim Hakim and LS Charley Hughlett will receive a guaranteed portion of their 2012 base salary as part of the contracts they signed when they were undrafted free agents. Benford will receive $20,000 guaranteed, Hughlett will receive $10,000 and Hakim will receive $7,500 in addition to the $10,000 signing bonus he received when he signed. The players will receive the money even if they do not make the final roster.
| Footballguys view: Keep an eye on Benford in deep dynasty leagues. Our very own Cecil Lammey was impressed with Benford during the week of Shrine Game practices earlier this year. He's extremely quick in and out of his breaks and has an aggressive attitude when the ball is in the air. Benford may not make the final roster, but could develop as a Practice Squad prospect. |
