NFL | Robert Griffin III staying ready    Tue Jul 5, 10:40 AM

Free-agent QB Robert Griffin III (Ravens) said he trains every day and remains ready if a team were interested in him.

Footballguys view: There's a chance we could see Griffin back in the NFL for a team in need of a veteran backup in an offense that features a rushing quarterback. He was last with the Ravens in 2020, and Griffin has been working in media since then. He's ready, and he's still young at 32 years old. Never say never, so let's put a pin in this and see if Griffin does get a call.

Dolphins | Miami may look at several potential backup QBs    Sun Mar 7, 04:04 PM

Indianapolis Colts impending free-agent QB Jacoby Brissett, Los Angeles Chargers impending free-agent QB Tyrod Taylor and free-agent QB Robert Griffin III (Ravens) could be possible backup quarterback options for the Miami Dolphins this offseason, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Cameron Wolfe.

Footballguys view: If the Dolphins keep Tua Tagovailoa as their starter (there is chatter they could move him to the Texans in part of a deal for Deshaun Watson), then they'll need a veteran backup. Any of these quarterbacks fit the bill, but perhaps Taylor would be the best suited to help guide a young passer like Tagovailoa. Stay tuned.

Ravens | Teams looking at Robert Griffin    Sat Sep 1, 12:04 AM

Baltimore Ravens QB Robert Griffin III is drawing trade interest, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Footballguys view: Griffin looked good in the preseason as he tries to get his pro career back on track. With Teddy Bridgewater getting traded to the Saints, other teams in need of a veteran backup could look to Baltimore and the price tag for Griffin. While Bridgewater fetched the Jets a third round pick, Griffin would be a lower cost...perhaps a late round pick for the Ravens.

Ravens | Joe Flacco more motivated    Wed Jun 13, 01:50 PM

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco appears to be more motivated this offseason as a result of the Ravens drafting QB Lamar Jackson and signing QB Robert Griffin III, according to FS Eric Weddle.

Footballguys view: Flacco has to be feeling the pressure after the Ravens added two quarterbacks this offseason, one (Jackson of course) with a first-round pick in the 2018 NFL draft. Under contract through 2020, it seems like Flacco realizes the league is called 'not for long' for a reason. We'll see if Flacco can stay sparked through the 2018 season with so much about his future riding on this season.

Footballguys view: Jackson has great upside as a quarterback in the NFL. However, his skill set may require some sharpening at the pro level. Footballguys view: The Ravens were interested in Griffin last year. Free-agent QB Robert Griffin III (Browns) said he worked out for the Los Angeles Chargers last summer, almost played for the Baltimore Ravens and has received 'interesting offers' from other teams.

Footballguys view: So long as Griffin keeps himself in shape, there might be a team that gives him a chance to compete in camp next year. The Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2012, Griffin took the league by storm in his first year. Injuries and problems with head coach Mike Shanahan caused his career to go off track.
