Buccaneers | Graham to start at FB for rest of season Tue Oct 20, 05:54 PM
Jim Flynn, of PewterReport.com, reports Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Earnest Graham will start at fullback for the rest of the season because FB B.J. Askew was placed on the Non-Football Injury list.
| Our view: This could help Graham's value a little bit, as it will get him on the field more, but he's barely rosterable even in the deepest of leagues right now. |

Buccaneers | Graham practicing Friday Fri Oct 2, 11:18 AM
Charlie Campbell and Jim Flynn, of PewterReport.com, report Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Earnest Graham (hamstring) is participating in practice Friday, Oct. 2.
| Our view: Graham is the do-everything veteran, that the Bucs can lean on in a pinch. With Derrick Ward unlikely to play, it means that Cadillac Williams and Graham will be carrying the load for the Bucs on Sunday. If Caddy is bothered by his knee we could see an expanded role for both Graham and Clifton Smith. |

Buccaneers | Week 3 Inactives Sun Sep 27, 12:12 PM
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have declared OT Demar Dotson, DL Dre Moore, RB Earnest Graham, C Jeff Faine, QB Josh Freeman, DL Kyle Moore, OT Marc Dile, WR Maurice Stovall inactive for Week 3.
| Our view: Antonio Bryant is active and starting, as previously reported. Use him with extreme caution until he proves his knee can hold up for 40 snaps. Graham is inactive today, which is reassuring for the knee issues Cadillac Williams struggled with at times this week. Williams should get all the red zone touches. Stovall inactive this week, which should result in an extra target or two for Sammie Stroughter. |

Buccaneers | Graham gave up series to Cadillac Tue Sep 15, 12:40 AM
Dave Scheiber, of the St. Petersburg Times, reports that Buccaneers RB Earnest Graham was given his series in the 2-2-1 setup that head coach Raheem Morris devised, but he told the coach to put Cadillac Williams back in because he was hot. "That was a product of Earnest Graham coming to me and telling me to keep those guys in because they're hot," Morris said. "And like I told you guys last night, that's what this team has got to become. We've got to become this way across the board. If I could just copy that running back room and put it throughout my team and change the body types I would. Earnest Graham came to me and I said, 'It's your series.' And he said, 'No, put Caddy in. He's hot.' "
| Our view: Graham has always been the picture of a team player, and this just adds to his lore, but it's not something his fantasy owners will like to hear. |

Buccaneers | Carries expected to be split three ways Tue Sep 8, 12:31 PM
Pat Yasinskas, of ESPN.com, reports despite Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Cadillac Williams being listed as the No. 1 running back on the depth chart, the carries will likely be split three ways between Williams and RBs Derrick Ward and Earnest Graham.
| Our view: Head coach Raheem Morris has talked about a 2-2-1 split. The era of the three-headed RBBC is upon us, and fantasy owners need to take note. We imagine that Caddy will get the majority of the carries if healthy. Derrick Ward is a good receiver out of the backfield, and could lead all Tampa RBs in receptions. Earnest Graham is the workman back, and perhaps he will be best used as a short-yardage or goalline back. |

Buccaneers | Cadillac returns to No. 1 running back on depth chart Mon Sep 7, 04:58 PM
According to Buccaneers.com, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are now listing RB Cadillac Williams as their No. 1 running back, followed by RBs Derrick Ward, Earnest Graham and Clifton Smith, respectively.
| Our view: Williams very likely went undrafted in most leagues. His performance in week 1 vs. the Cowboys could make him the hottest waiver wire pickup of week 2, but we don't expect big things from an offense that just lost its coordinator. |

Buccaneers | Morris liked seeing all three backs going Fri Aug 28, 05:59 PM
Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Raheem Morris said the team was able to use a little bit of their '2-2-1 format' in running the football Thursday, Aug. 27, as RBs Cadillac Williams, Earnest Graham and Derrick Ward were all able to see action. 'I started doing it a little bit last night. It wasn't as detailed as I would like it. It wasn't all the situational things that I would like. It was OK. When you get a chance to see all three of those guys working together. Last night, we talked about it before too, feeding off the one that got hot. Last night Earnest and Cadillac got hot, so you kind of let them go a little bit. Then I was sad because I had to take them out because their time was done,' Morris said.
| Our view: The resurrection of Cadillac Williams threatens to take the air out of the balloon of the value of Derrick Ward and Earnest Graham, even at Graham's modest ADP. |

Buccaneers | C. Williams to play Thursday Tue Aug 25, 03:47 PM
Jim Flynn, of PewterReport.com, reports Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Cadillac Williams (knee) will play in his first preseason game Thursday, Aug. 27. He will see significant playing time and head coach Raheem Morris plans to have RBs Williams, Derrick Ward and Earnest Graham share the workload in a 2-2-1 format, which means Williams and Ward likely will play the first two series of the game while Graham plays for one series. 'I want to go 2-2-1 and I want to keep that rotation if I can throughout the season,' said Morris. 'We'll have some different back situations. I'm going to mix it in, and the person getting the one [series] will make it up in the situational play. I'll try to use that format in the game. [Cadillac is] getting the first two [series] in this game. I'm looking forward to seeing him do that.'
| Our view: Cadillac Williams running again after being up on blocks could rob both Derrick Ward and Earnest Graham of predictable value week-to-week. We're certainly looking forward to seeing how this works out, since it means none of the three backs will be able to get in a rhythm over the course of a game. |

Buccaneers | Morris to follow Giants RB blueprint Tue Aug 11, 06:49 PM
The St. Petersburg Times notes Bucs coach Raheem Morris commented on the RB situation after practice. "I've been kind of talking to you about it, but you have to use the Giant format if you're going to do anything. That was a perfect format, and gave you two thousand yard rushers and a five hundred yard rusher. But it's all going to depend; sometimes you get a running back that gets into the game and gets hot. You put Earnest Graham out there and he starts rolling, you keep him out there and let him roll. It happens how it happens. I'm not going to make a set appointment on how I want them to play right now. You have to just let them go out there and just play. Put them out there for their situation, for whatever Michael Jordan situation they're going to be involved in and let them go."
| Our view: This is why the starting RB in Tampa is only a title. Graham is seriously underrated in fantasy circles but he shouldn't be because he should lead the team in carries as long as he stays healthy. Derrick Ward is the receiving back, and coming off a 1,000 yard season last year he will command a certain amount of carries (in addition to the most receptions out of the backfield) as well. One player that is holding onto his roster spot is Cadillac Williams. He's coming back from yet another devastating knee injury, but do not count him out. The darkhorse in this rotation could be return man Clifton Smith, who could use his quickness and agility as a change of pace back. |

Scott Reynolds, of the PewterReport.com, reports Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Earnest Graham is listed as the starting running back on the team's first official depth chart.
| Our view: We've been beating the drum on the Audible for a while that Graham and Derrick Ward will be in a 50/50 committee, with Graham as the more trusted back. ADPs haven't caught up to that reality yet. Hopefully you've been able to take advantage. |

Buccaneers | Offense sharp in goalline drills Wed Aug 5, 09:09 PM
Rick Stroud, from the St. Petersburg Times, notes the Bucs engaged in some full-speed, full contact goal line work Wednesday and the offense dominated early. Working on third-and-goal situations from the 2-yard line, the offense scored on its first four tries. Earnest Graham reached the end zone on his first two carries, Derrick Ward scored on the next rushing attempt and Jameel Cook scored on a play-action pass from Byron Leftwich.
| Our view: The Bucs want to feature their running game, led by Earnest Graham and new addition Derrick Ward. We'll see if their offense can move effectively and get into the red zone consistently. |

Buccaneers | Graham thinks highly of new offense Wed Aug 5, 05:42 PM
Jim Flynn and Kristina Haumschild, of PewterReport.com, report Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Earnest Graham said the offense new offensive coordinator Jeff Jagodzinski has brought to the team is one of the best he has played in as a member of the Buccaneers. 'This offense has got to be the most talented offense since I got here. Our quarterbacks are making plays, our receivers are making plays, and our offensive line is awesome. The scheme we have here suits us well. Right now, I think we have a great chance, but right now we just have to go out there and put our time in,' Graham said.
| Our view: He seems to be 100% after battling an ankle ligament injury last season. Fantasy owners need to remember that the Bucs RB coach said earlier this offseason that Ward would make for a nice change of pace back behind Earnest Graham. Ward should lead all running backs in receptions, but Graham may lead the team in carries, including those near the goalline. Graham has had to work hard his entire time in the league and has overachieved at this level so don't count him out just because the team has a new (and oft-injured) running back. |

Buccaneers | Potential three-headed attack at running back? Tue Aug 4, 08:01 PM
According to sources close to the situation, Tampa Bay Buccaneers RBs Earnest Graham, Derrick Ward and Clifton Smith may be part of a three-headed mix at running back.
| Our view: Graham is currently running as the first running back with the team, and he and Ward are expected to carry the majority of the workload. Smith would be sprinkled in to give the team another dimension on offense. Fantasy owners need to remember that the Bucs RB coach said earlier this offseason that Ward would make for a nice change of pace back behind Earnest Graham. Ward should lead all running backs in receptions, but Graham may lead the team in carries, including those near the goalline. |

Buccaneers | Graham probably won't see time at fullback Fri Jul 24, 09:25 PM
Pat Yasinskas, of ESPN.com, reports The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will probably only use RB Earnest Graham at fullback in an emergency situation.
| Our view: Graham was excellent in that role for a game last year, but he will remain a tailback this year, and he represents good value at his current ADP of RB41 and 106th overall. |

Buccaneers | New commitment to the run Sat Jul 18, 05:01 PM
Ira Kaufman, of the Tampa Tribune, reports that new Buccaneers offensive coordinator Jeff Jagodzinski will be committed to the run. Jagodzinski said, ""We will be a successful team running the ball - I promise you that... We are going to be a one-cut, downhill, physical football team."
| Our view: Another reason to look at Derrick Ward in the mid-rounds, and make taking Earnest Graham a must in the late-mid-rounds. The Bucs have a strong young drive blocking line, and we expect something close to a 50-50 split, so there could be enough to go around to make both backs solid RB2/Flex players. Remember that Ward has been the more injury prone player, so Graham has a better chance of being the sole lead back at some point during the season. |

Steve Wyche, of NFL.com, reports Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Earnest Graham (ankle) practiced at full speed Tuesday, May 12.
| Our view: This is good news for the Tampa RB who will face stiff competition from Derrick Ward in training camp. It could be a 2-headed RBBC in Tampa this season with both Ward and Graham having equal value. We'll see if one emerges in training camp - and we'll see if both backs can stay healthy. |
