Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert posted four receptions for 39 yards on five targets in Week 9 against the Chicago Bears.

Footballguys view: Goedert will be a streamer on the other side of the bye. He'll be a big part of the pass offense going forward with injuries starting to pile up at wide receiver again.

Eagles | Five receptions for Dallas Goedert    Sun Oct 13, 05:48 PM

Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert caught five passes for 48 yards against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 6. He was targeted eight times during the game.

Footballguys view: Goedert is at least in the desperation play zone now with a high target volume in a play from behind game script. He mostly remains on our radar because of his Zach Ertz injury upside.

Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (calf) is expected to play in Week 4 Thursday, Sept. 24.

Eagles | Dallas Goedert questionable to return    Sun Sep 15, 09:04 PM

Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (calf) left the Week 1 game against the Atlanta Falcons in the first quarter due to a calf injury and he is questionable to return. NBC sideline reporter Michelle Tafoya said it's uncertain if it is the injury he dealt with during the preseason.

Footballguys view: Either way Goedert is probably done tonight and missed a golden opportunity with two other Eagles pass catchers banged up. This offense could be a lot more concentrated at Detroit next week.

Eagles | Dallas Goedert catches passes    Thu Aug 29, 09:04 PM

Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (calf) was able to catch passes on the field prior to the preseason finale Thursday, Aug. 29, and is expected to be ready for Week 1.

Footballguys view: Goedert could be a good low-owned DFS play and streaming tight end against Washington, who will have some inexperienced inside linebackers out there on passing downs.

Eagles | Dallas Goedert misses practice    Sat Aug 10, 01:30 PM

Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (calf) did not participate in practice Saturday, Aug. 10, and is considered week-to-week because of a calf injury. The injury is not considered serious, and he should be ready for Week 1.

Footballguys view: We'll believe Goedert will be ready for Week 1 when he is out there. With full practice participation it will be easier to trust him going into the season, but this takes a little luster off of his sleeper status. He did look very good in the preseason opener before his injury and will be a major mismatch when healthy.

Eagles | Dallas Goedert ready to be a star?    Thu Jun 13, 06:26 PM

Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert has looked ready to make a second-year leap into stardom in 2019, according to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Footballguys view: Goedert has a red zone primed skillset and he is in a good offense. If he can have a consistent 3-4 target floor every week, that could be enough to make him a TE1 this year. He's still cheaper than he should be in redraft and dynasty.

Eagles | Dallas Goedert ready for more    Thu May 23, 10:04 PM

Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert said his second season in the NFL has been easier than his rookie year. 'Now I can just focus on things I want to get better at rather than learning the playbook,' Goedert said.

Footballguys view: We're ready for Goedert to do more too. His landing spot prevented him from having an impact as a rookie in 2018, but the natural talent as a pass-catching weapon is there. Zach Ertz is the top tight end for the Eagles, but we're hoping that Goedert is mixed in a bit more this season. He's a TE2 with upside and potentially a top-10 fantasy tight end if Ertz misses time.

Eagles | Dallas Goedert to be used more?    Sat Feb 16, 10:45 PM

Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert caught 12 of his 33 passes as a rookie over the final four games, and Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com believes Goedert's usage should increase in 2019 after the coaching staff has an entire offseason to figure out more ways to give him the ball.

Footballguys view: We were hoping they'd use Goedert more last year during his rookie season. The 2018 second-round pick ended up with 33 catches for 334 yards and four receiving touchdowns. We'll see if they can concoct a way to get him more involved in the offense alongside their top tight end Zach Ertz.

Eagles | Dallas Goedert catches TD pass    Sun Oct 28, 01:15 PM

Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert caught one pass for 32 yards and one touchdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 8.

Footballguys view: Goedert's opportunity is inconsistent, but he clearly has the goods to be a fantasy relevant tight end. He could be a streamer if his target share goes up in the second half of the year, and he's at least worth waiver desperation play consideration even if it doesn't.

Eagles | Dallas Goedert finds end zone    Sun Oct 21, 05:02 PM

Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert posted four grabs for 43 yards and a touchdown in Week 7 against the Carolina Panthers on five targets.

Footballguys view: Goedert's role has been inconsistent, but he clearly has talent as a receiver and should remain in consideration any time we have to grab a tight end off of the waiver wire.

Eagles | Philly seeks more targets for Dallas Goedert    Tue Sep 18, 01:58 PM

Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert could see more looks going forward, offensive coordinator Mike Groh said in a news conference Tuesday, Sept. 19. 'We have a talented player in Dallas, and we have to find ways to get him involved,' Groh said.

Footballguys view: Goedert has played 34 snaps this year so far (17 in each game) and only has three targets during that time (all in Week 1). With his talent as a pass catcher, it only makes sense to get the rookie second-round pick as involved as possible. With QB Carson Wentz (knee) returning in Week 3 as the starter, it will be interesting to see how much he targets Goedert. Keep the rookie on your waiver wire speed dial if he's out there. The Eagles lack WR talent and could ask more from their tight ends.

Eagles | More usage for Dallas Goedert?    Tue Aug 28, 07:46 PM

Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert is expected to be implemented more in two-tight end sets with WR Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) expected to miss the first two games.

Footballguys view: The rookie Goedert has the athleticism to create mismatches all over the field. He can run routes down the seam or even move outside to get open. We're excited to see what he can do this year, but as the no2 tight end behind Zach Ertz his fantasy value will have a limit.

Eagles | Dallas Goedert ready to fill void    Sun Aug 19, 11:05 PM

Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert should 'slide right into' the role that Chicago Bears TE Trey Burton filled for the offense last year, according to Daniel Jeremiah of NFL.com.

Footballguys view: Burton collected 23 passes for 248 yards and five touchdowns last year with the Eagles. Goedert has a great size/speed combination with the ability to create mismatches every time he's on the field. In 2017, Burton was the no.26 fantasy tight end (standard scoring leagues), and the rookie Goedert might even be able to produce more in 2018. We love his dynasty value and Goedert could be a late-round tight end to take a chance on in your drafts.

Eagles | Dallas Goedert likely back soon    Sun Aug 12, 02:02 PM

Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (elbow) told reporters Sunday, Aug. 12, he is recovering from a 'bump and a bruise' and expects to be back in a day or two.

Footballguys view: Goedert's injury is probably nothing to worry about going forward, but we're monitoring Nelson Agholor, who hasn't been at practice in a week. Goedert looks like he'll be an instant red zone specialist and potentially have fantasy value as a rookie.

Eagles | Dallas Goedert leaves practice    Sat Aug 11, 03:42 PM

Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (undisclosed) left practice early Saturday, Aug. 11, because of an apparent injury.

Footballguys view: We hope this isn't anything too serious. Goedert snared four receptions, 66 yards and a touchdown during the team's game Thursday, Aug. 9, against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The rookie second-round pick from South Dakota State has the ability to be a weapon for the Eagles. We love his stock in dynasty leagues.

Eagles | Dallas Goedert finds end zone in debut    Sat Aug 11, 02:55 AM

Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert tallied four receptions, 66 yards and a touchdown during the team's game Thursday, Aug. 9, against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Footballguys view: The Eagles nabbed a potentially special talent at the tight end position when they selected Goedert out of South Dakota State in the second round of the 2018 NFL draft. Goedert has fine athleticism and the body control to make difficult catches seem routine. The rookie can create mismatches as he's too fast for many linebackers and he's too big for most safeties to cover. He'll serve as the TE2 for the Eagles behind Zach Ertz in 2018.
