Pryor is athletic, but he's still somewhat raw at the WR position so it's telling that Gilbert is also getting burned by him. A top-10 pick in 2014, Gilbert has been a flop to this point in his career. New Browns head coach Hue Jackson has given him a clean slate, and he needs to do a better job with this fresh start. |

Cleveland Browns CB Justin Gilbert said he is happy that head coach Hue Jackson has given him a clean slate and is not worried about what happened in the past. He has been working with the first-team defense during offseason workouts because of the injury to CB Joe Haden (ankle) but wants to continue to work with the starters even when Haden returns. Gilbert has been using a more compact stance during practice and believes he will help him take quicker steps when he plays off the receiver.
| Footballguys view: Gilbert was a top-10 pick in the 2014 NFL draft, but he's been a bust so far in his pro career. We're not anticipating a bounce-back for Gilbert, but the clean slate he's been given by Jackson and the coaching staff was much needed. It's easy to see 2016 as a make-or-break season for Gilbert. |

Solomon, Turbin, Bryant and Williams did not practice Friday, Sept. 25. Gilbert was limited, while the others practiced in full.
