Broncos | Denver to look at Joe Flacco, Nick Foles?    Sat Jan 19, 01:42 PM

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco and Philadelphia Eagles QB Nick Foles could receive interest from the Denver Broncos this offseason, in the opinion of 9News.com's Mike Klis.

Footballguys view: The Broncos now know that Case Keenum is not the long-term answer at the quarterback position. GM John Elway does not want to rebuild, so that means competing in arguably the toughest division in football the AFC West. Flacco has a big arm and could work in Rich Scangarello's Shanahan-like system...like he did under Gary Kubiak in 2014. Foles, a favorite of the Broncos brass dating back to his days in college, could find himself in the Mile High City to take over as the starter. Either move would likely mean the team moves on from Keenum.

Jaguars | Jacksonville may pursue Joe Flacco    Sat Jan 12, 03:49 PM

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco is one of the quarterbacks the Jacksonville Jaguars are considering pursuing this offseason, according to sources. Flacco is believed to be open to joining the Jaguars.

Footballguys view: This move seems to make a ton of sense for both sides. Flacco is likely to get released by the Ravens as they move forward with Lamar Jackson as their starting quarterback. The Jaguars need to move on from Blake Bortles as their starter and Flacco could be their top target.

Ravens | Joe Flacco at end in Baltimore    Sun Dec 16, 12:22 PM

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco has been replaced by rookie Lamar Jackson as the team's starter and is not expected back with the team next season. 'Look at Flacco's future: He's 33 years old, he's set to make $18.5 million dollars next year,' the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said Sunday, Dec. 16 on NFL Game Day Morning. 'The Ravens are expected to move on from him this offseason. They'll incur $16 million of dead money, but, of course, they're not going to bring him back as a backup making $16 million. All of which is to say if Flacco decides he wants to continue playing, he's actually going to be a fairly coveted free agent this offseason. Rarely do starting quarterbacks become available, and Joe Flacco absolutely is.'

Ravens | Week 14 injury report for Baltimore    Fri Dec 7, 04:09 PM

Baltimore Ravens S Tony Jefferson (ankle), OL Alex Lewis (shoulder), CB Jimmy Smith (not injury related) and LB Terrell Suggs (not injury related) did not practice Friday, Dec. 7. WR John Brown (not injury related), WR Michael Crabtree (not injury related), S Eric Weddle (not injury related) and OL Marshal Yanda (not injury related) practiced in full and are off the report.

Footballguys view: Jefferson will be missed at the back end of the pass defense with the Chiefs up next. Tampa is on the schedule in Week 15 and the Chargers in Week 16, so the hope is that Jefferson can return soon to help slow down these strong passing attacks.

Ravens | Joe Flacco likely to be active in Week 14    Fri Dec 7, 01:25 PM

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) was a full participant in practice Friday, Dec. 7, and there's a solid chance he'll be cleared to play in Week 14. Asked if he could back up Lamar Jackson on Sunday, head coach John Harbaugh told reporters: ' Yeah, there's a scenario for that, sure.'

Footballguys view: Flacco could start to threaten Jackson's playing time next week if the rookie struggles at Kansas City this week, but this is probably nothing to worry about if you are considering Jackson this week unless he absolutely craters in the first half of the game.

Ravens | Lamar Jackson to remain starter    Tue Nov 27, 06:46 PM

Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson will make his third straight start in Week 13 as QB Joe Flacco (hip) has not been cleared to play yet. Flacco could be cleared in the coming days, however.

Footballguys view: Flacco is likely to sit behind Jackson when he returns so long as the rookie is playing well. There's a chance the Ravens rotate quarterbacks but that rarely happens and doesn't look good when it does occur.

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) is scheduled to meet with a doctor Monday, Nov. 26, to see if he will be able to participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 28.

Ravens | Baltimore to use multiple quarterbacks?    Mon Nov 26, 04:17 PM

Baltimore Ravens QBs Joe Flacco (hip) and Lamar Jackson could be used 'a significant amount' at the same time once Flacco returns, according to head coach John Harbaugh. 'We'll just do what gives us the best chance [to win] and try to use all of our players the best way we can,' Harbaugh said.

Footballguys view: Flacco is set to return to practice this week. We should get an update on his status on Wednesday. The Ravens travel to play the Falcons in Week 13. Rotating quarterbacks from series to series has never worked in the NFL and has rarely been tried. Harbaugh is going to have to make a decision soon.

Almost never does it,' NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said Thursday, Nov. 15. 'The fact that he was not out there is a pretty important sign that he may not be able to play on Sunday. Footballguys view: The Ravens are home against the Bengals in Week 11. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh has already stated that Flacco doesn't need to practice during the week to play. Even if Flacco does play, we'd expect to see a bit more of rookie QB Lamar Jackson. Robert Griffin III is another option at quarterback if Flacco can't play due to this hip problem.

Ravens | Joe Flacco could be sidelined with hip injury    Fri Nov 9, 05:00 PM

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) suffered a hip injury in Week 9 against the Pittsburgh Steelers that has put his status 'in question' for Week 11 versus the Cincinnati Bengals.

Footballguys view: It's not 100% that Lamar Jackson would be the starter according to reports, but it is 100% that he should be picked up in all leagues. We haven't seen a quarterback with his running ability since Michael Vick and the Ravens face a lineup of weak pass defenses after the bye. The team could choose to shelve Flacco in an attempt to get a headstart on the future with the Steelers asserting control over the division in recent weeks.

Ravens | Joe Flacco won't be benched    Mon Nov 5, 04:32 PM

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco will remain the starting quarterback despite QB Lamar Jackson playing well, according to head coach John Harbaugh.

Footballguys view: Baltimore sits at 4-5 after nine games. They've lost three in a row and their offense has been sputtering. Flacco is the starter for now but we think there's a possibility Jackson could get a late start or two (think around the fantasy playoffs) if the team falls out of contention in the AFC playoff picture.

Ravens | Joe Flacco throws for 209 yards    Sun Nov 4, 05:03 PM

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco went 23-for-37 for 209 yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 9.

Footballguys view: Flacco wasn't able to get anything done in the red zone. He didn't see a wide open Lamar Jackson on one drive and wasn't effective throwing downfield. We might see Lamar Jackson get a start soon if the Ravens don't end their three game losing streak soon.

Footballguys view: Flacco got the volume that had been fueling his solid start to the year, but the Browns defense frustrated him all day. He was on the verge of being a reliable every week start, but now we have to question his streamability against the Titans next week.

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco's yards per pass attempt has jumped from 5.72 in 2017 to 7.32 this season, and he is on pace to set a new career high in passing yards.

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco threw 376 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions on 32-for-55 passing Thursday, Sept. 13, at the Cincinnati Bengals. Flacco also lost a fumble.

Footballguys view: Flacco was winging it in the second half and ended up posting good fantasy numbers in the process. He's still a limited ceiling weekly play, but Flacco is riffing with his tight end and wide receiver groups. He has a tough matchup against the Broncos next week.
