Broncos | Noah Fant back at work    Mon Aug 26, 04:26 PM

Denver Broncos TE Noah Fant (ankle) returned to practice Monday, Aug. 26.

Footballguys view: Fant was moving well at practice today. It looks like the rookie is on track to start for the Broncos in Week 1. We think he's a low-end TE2 but the system, quarterback and natural talent is there for Fant to have some TE1 weeks as a rookie in 2019.

Broncos | Noah Fant on track for Week 1    Wed Aug 21, 02:41 PM

Denver Broncos TE Noah Fant (ankle) will be available for Week 1 despite his ankle injury, according to head coach Vic Fangio.

Footballguys view: Fant was generating some momentum in training camp with better performances, but that is slowed for now. He's more of an upside TE2 to stash in deep or tight end premium leagues than a player to count on for early production. He could be dropped early in the season and come on later as a waiver wire pickup.

Broncos | Noah Fant dealing with ankle sprain    Tue Aug 20, 05:24 PM

Footballguys view: Fant might miss some time with this injury. He went down with the injury on Monday night against the 49ers. It doesn't seem like a serious injury, but the Broncos should be careful with their 2019 first-round pick. Fant could be a big part of their passing game in 2019.

Denver Broncos TE Noah Fant caught a touchdown in the red zone and was able to create separation and 'rip off gains' of 20-plus yards on passes in the flat during practice Sunday, July 21, according to Andrew Mason of DenverBroncos.com.

Footballguys view: Fant could be relevant in fantasy leagues this year despite being a rookie. His chemistry with Joe Flacco is key and it sounds like it is already developing.

Broncos | Noah Fant's blocking praised    Sun Jul 21, 03:03 PM

Denver Broncos TE Noah Fant is impressing with his run blocking so far in training camp. 'One of the things I think was undervalued with him ahead of the draft is I think he's an excellent run-blocker,' Broncos offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello said Sunday, July 21.

Footballguys view: Fant's run blocking won't result in fantasy points for him, but it can get him on the field more as a rookie and earn the trust of his coaches. If he can become a clear starter and every down player right out of the gate, Fant could be a low-end TE1 this year.

Broncos | Noah Fant making plays    Fri Jul 19, 10:32 PM

Denver Broncos TE Noah Fant 'found success' running quick out routes and catching passes in the flats during practice Friday, July 19, according to Andrew Mason of DenverBroncos.com.

Footballguys view: Fant, a first-round pick of the Broncos in the 2019 NFL draft, has the upside to be a weapon in the Rich Scangarello offense. He's big, fast, strong and physical, making him s a tough player to match up with. Fant is too big for safeties to cover and too fast for linebackers to cover. He's got to work his way up the depth chart to earn starter's snaps over guys like Jeff Heuerman, Jake Butt or Troy Fumagalli.

Broncos | Noah Fant tested early    Thu Jul 18, 09:53 PM

Denver Broncos TE Noah Fant was used as an in-line tight end with the first-team offense during training camp Thursday, July 18, and he struggled to contain LB Von Miller.

Footballguys view: Many players struggle to contain Miller, so we're going to give Fant a break on his first day of training camp. The rookie first-round pick has major upside...eventually...as a starting tight end for the Broncos. Right now, the top target for Joe Flacco at the position seems to be second-year pro Troy Fumagalli. We'll watch Fant and Fumagalli battle it out in camp and the preseason.

Broncos | Odds stacked against Noah Fant?    Thu Jul 11, 09:05 PM

Denver Broncos TE Noah Fant's impact is 'more likely to come in 2020 and beyond' because only four rookie tight ends in NFL history have reached 700 receiving yards, according to Bill Barnwell of ESPN.com

Footballguys view: We don't think anyone should be expecting 700 yards receiving for Fant as a rookie. However, projecting him for 40-plus catches is not outlandish. First, he's catching passes from QB Joe Flacco who historically loves to go to the tight end early and often. Second, Fant is playing in a Shanahan/Kubiak offense under new Broncos OC Rich Scangarello and that could boost his numbers. The Broncos selected Fant in the first round of the 2019 NFL draft for a reason, and they'll use him often...albeit in some form of committee at tight end.

Broncos | Jeff Heuerman, Noah Fant starting options    Thu Jul 11, 06:59 PM

Denver Broncos TEs Jeff Heuerman and Noah Fant will compete for the starting tight end job during training camp, but Heuerman will enter camp as the clear favorite for the job, in the opinion of 9News.com's Mike Klis.

Footballguys view: Heuerman is the veteran the team brought back as a free agent earlier this year. Fant is their first-round pick from the 2019 NFL draft and he's the future of the position. Joe Flacco loves to throw to the tight end and this Shanahan/Kubiak offense under new OC Rich Scangarello is going to be tight end friendly. We think Fant should win the job and provides upside as a low-end TE2 for Fantasy GMs.
