Houston Texans WR Andre' Davis (hip, tailbone) recently got a second opinion on his injured hip and tailbone, and head coach Gary Kubiak said he is "still up in the air," reports Nick Scurfield, of HoustonTexans.com. Kubiak added, "We've been told by some (doctors) that he could possibly make it back in a certain period of time. Other guys don't feel that way. We're trying to weigh all the information, talk to André. When we cut to our final 53, we'll have to take all that into consideration."

| Footballguys view: Both Andre Davis and Kevin Walter down for Houston this week. Walter was able to practice some this week, but was limited after a full Wednesday practice. As hamstring injuries tend to linger for wideouts, this decision may be better for Walter owners than it first appears. Jacoby Jones will draw the start with Walter and Davis out, but Matt Schaub has only Andre Johnson to rely on at WR against a stout Tennessee defense. Expect more targets for Steve Slaton and Owen Daniels. |

| Footballguys view: Back in 2007 Davis proved that he could be a big play receiver for the Texans, and starting opposite of Andre Johnson he should be able to take advantage of single coverage. He's not as big of a target as Kevin Walter, but the Texans passing game shouldn't miss a beat with Davis in the starting lineup. |
